Cambridge was just an (stock) air shot, the other scenes were actually from the real Oxford. Most other stuff was shot in Germany: Marienburg near Hannover, Potsdam, Berlin (like inside of the 'Schlosshotel Berlin' (Fashion Scene), Family house of the Beaufort (Kyritzer Schloss 'Ganz' - near Berlin) etc.

In the books it actually says that cyr had a crush on Lydia since they were little and were also in a relationship I think

The one change I would make is how the Lydia and teacher storyline plays out. They met before he was her teacher so that make it a bit less iffy, I would keep the part were they are caught since it's the main reason for Ruby and James meeting up. Lydia wants to pursue the relationship but the teacher keeps telling her it isn't right and they never should have in the first place. Then after that I would have Lydia's main storyline be her getting over him and move on. Also yes European movies and shows show more during the nude scenes.

I have been waiting for this video and especially your clarification of the exchange in episode 6 because having Ruby say: "What people do when they trust one another." seemed super super weird and I'd read that the translation to 'boy toy' wasn't right and that it was more like f*ckboy etc ... My German wasn't good enough to catch what they actually said and I knew you'd pick it up and clarify so thank you! :D Glad you enjoyed the series. I think it was good. I worry that season 2 won't live up to season 1 but that's just be being pessimistic

Oh, it's going to be so dramatic in season 2, can't wait :D They actually made Cordelia Beaufort more likeable in the show. In the book, she's a bit more like her husband who is tamer in the book than in the show up to this point. Her conversation with James was not satisfying but better than in the book. Also, we don't meet her a lot in the book, so her death meant more to me in the show. I really liked Alistar in the show as well and he shipping "Juby". In the book, all of James' friends are real jerks and toxic for quite a long while which is kind of annoying.

I read the books and I don't know how they want to make it up to the second book cause they told stuff from the 3rd book in the first season and changed the end so it doesn't match completely with the book (that would've been the best cliffhanger ever)
