this game looks amazing, there are major issues that need to be tackled, the devs are on it though, Mark Rubin(former cod dev) is very very communicative. and the UI in this game is so clean man

This game looks soooo good. I don’t think it will “kill” COD, but I do think it will be good competition. I also have a good way to describe it. It is like black ops 4 with a speed boost and more vibrant maps.

Splitgate was an indie game made by a couple people. This is a AAA title made by former lead COD developers and former COD pros.

I really like the way they have done the mastery camp grind in this game it enables players to progress on the camp without having to change the way you play such as sitting at the back of the map for long shots

7:40 I feel like fast gameplay with large maps is what we need rather than the current trend of small maps with slow gameplay, I get that it’s much easier to develop and develop a small map but large, arcade-y games almost always prove to be the more fun for the player rather than Walking Simulator ™️

Just take Jev’s praise of the maps in Battlefield for example; the sheer scale of enormous maps is both pleasing to look at and offers so much more potential for fun gameplay for both the people who like close quarters skirmishes as well as the players who like to challenge themselves with long-range engagements

The biggest question I would have is how responsive is the right stick on controller? That’s one thing cod always had to a T is on controller it was extremely responsive and very low input lag! The problem with some of these other knock off so to say cod style arcade shooters is on controller the right stick is super clunky and lags behind noticeably. If this game can be as fluid as cod is in terms of input delay, it has some serious potential.

People just mostly need to stop calling these new fps’s the cod killer because theres nothing that can kill cod except itself. Cod will continue to be successful regardless of the state it is in and whether you like it or not. I hope this game succeeds as its own title and i hope that it doesn’t get called a cod killer because that just makes me want to play cod. Looks really fun though, cant wait to play!

Agreed. Anointing games as a cod killer is honestly a death sentence we should all just enjoy the game for what it is there’s room for this and cod to both be successful. Remember how for awhile people kept dubbing games as halo killers? And almost every single of those games ended up dying out fairly quickly.

Beta is running at a tick rate of 30hz, which is why when you get shot, it looks like on your screen the person isnt looking at you. The full release will be at 60hz.

The game runs sooo good on PC this time around, i joined a insider session earlier this year and it didn't run well at all. Now i can run Ultra with 100-120 fps which is insane for a Closed Beta!

With some more cool looking characters that cater to the R6S and the new fandom casuals from the MW2 reboot. XDefiant has the potential to get fans. Cool characters, good gameplay loop, and maps, that's all they need to have in order to be a COD competitor.

OK since I’m actually allowed to talk about this but I can’t share imagery as somebody who played the alpha yeah it’s a pretty good game with a lot of potential when I played the Alpha really didn’t encounter any bugs weapons were balanced pretty damn good A lot of it was based on reaction speed because if you were quick enough and hitting head shots you could kill the person fairly quickly this is definitely not going to be a game that kills call of duty or any other type of game The best way to describe it would be like combine rainbow six siege with rogue company at least if you played the alpha it’s a pretty fun game with passionate developers and some interesting abilities from different characters
