I really love these films. Very sweet and nostalgic. The kids are great. The little telegram kid was surprising when he started performing. The regular cast is lovely. These are so much better than they could have turned out as small movies. Thanks, fun for a Sunday afternoon . Good upload as usual, PF.

The only problem I had was the rushed ending. More could have gone into it like s final scene to explain why, when, and how. Also, what blackmail? The whole thing left too many holes.

I am impressed that they had an African American girl being regarded as an equal, and it is embedded in the movie so can't be easily cut out when it is shown in the South, as per usual. But why she was dressed in white and had the last name of White is something to ponder. She was being treated as White? $1 then is about $17 today. The description says Bob is a young man. Really? He was born in 1900 and looked every year of his age and then some, dying at age 51 of a heart attack. The worst lawyer ever! Even I could do better than that. And apparently the most slipshod governor's office. And useless police department. Stay out of St. Paul, is seemingly the message. :) These men and women don't have the slightest interest in the war that is about to enflame the world, as they say. It's not even on the front page of the newspaper.

You are the only one that has brought it to everyone's attention, so far maybe you have a reason why? Maybe the dress wasn't white but yellow or light 0ink why does it have to be white. And I've known some blacks named white it's not unusual to me but evidently you find it strange or unusual. Just watch the show and don't try to read things that are not there into it.

My version of this film is in black and white so how do we know that the colour of the dress is white ? My next door neighbour is Mr J Blackman and he is white. My colleague at my place of work is a person of colour and is called Marsha White. Never ever thought of it as being relevant.
