The music video on Cartoon Network in the early 2000s was my gateway into TMBG at 11 years old. I loved Courage, and the video and song grabbed me like Freaky Fred grabbed Courage. Even at 11, I felt in my bones the call, the realization that THIS....THIS was my brand: So strange, so funkadelic, so bizarre, so catchy. UGH! I can't get enough of it, 20+ years later. TMBG frickin' rules.

There's something deep about this show. Courage as an overall character being a dog (dogs are mostly very terrified of things) and loyal af to his owner, and that too such a show for the children to watch. This deserves oscar. Miss the time when Cartoon Network used to be a creative lord with deep messages for children. Dexter's Lab, K.N.D, Powerpuff Girls and other similar shows were masterpieces.

I would swear it's re-recorded because of the way he says "Eustace, Muriel", I don't think the original has that inflection. But then the original exists in such low quality that its difficult to be sure, because listening back to back, I can't tell if the original has that inflection or not.
