Interesting how they "can't" investigate the house without evidence of wrongdoing even though they already have reasonable suspicion since there is a crying child who's not supposed to be there that they lied about, but they somehow CAN break and enter the house to illegally gather that evidence. In USA, evidence gathered illegally is inadmissible in court. Not sure if it's the same in Sweden but I bet it is.

It's the same in Ukraine, illegally obtained evidence is inapplicable in court. Although Ukraine is not in the EU yet, our criminal laws are purposefully made very similar to the EU laws, in order to smooth the integration. So I'm like 99% sure, they can't use that camera as evidence.

I wouldn't agree if the evidence is obtained by torture (illegal means) because it's known that even innocent people will confess to avoid future torture. States in the USA have different and oftentimes conflicting laws. In some states if you audio or video record someone without their consent it's illegal, but in other states if you audio or video record without their consent it's not illegal. So in one state, if you are being abused by your partner and you record it, that evidence is illegally obtained and therefore cannot be used in court to prosecute the abuser. In other states, it can be used in court. It's called "one party" or "two party" consent. Google "one party consent states" if you're interested in learning more. The (hopefully unintended) result of that law is that if you're being abused, your evidence isn't admissible in court in some states unless the abuser consents. Why tf would the abuser consent to being recorded while they are abusing you? RIDICULOUS! There is so much gray area to the admissible vs. inadmissible argument. I'm glad I'm an engineer and not a lawyer because I'd rather deal with math and science than this unambiguous cluster f***. I think that audio and video recording should be ADMISSIBLE in court unless it was obtained by coercion (coercion like torture would have to be proved). But yeah, there's a lot of legal precedent and therefore it's super complicated. In the USA, we have equally-qualified judges that disagree with each other all the time because of their biases so there's oftentimes no objectivity or consistency. That's another reason I stick to engineering haha. It's more logical.
