I moved into my first renovation project at the end of October after leaving an unhappy relationship at the end of last year, and having to completely start over by myself. I have related to your vlogs so much in finding happiness in your own home that you have designed and created all by yourself. There is something magical in achieving that. A little trick to remove those pesky labels from TK Maxx et Homesense: Blow Dry on hot the sticker for a few seconds, it softens the glue and you can literally peel off the sticker.

Nail varnish remover as well, don't use if you've got nail varnish on though, gels are ok as long as they use a strong top coat as most nail varnish removers don't touch it.

You can add bows at the ends of the garland in the entryway to make it look more “finished”

That ikea clear bag with black handle is exactly what I use for my big wreath and garland its a fantastic job they are super chunky and close into it easy as its deep when you open it out

To remove stickers, heat them for a minute with a hairdryer - it loosens the adhesive making it easier to peel off.

Have a wonderful New Years Eve hun if your out and about - we are having a quiet one - as both still unwell with a dreadful chest infection bug. We took our dec’s down yesterday and packed everything away - feels so good doing this before the New Year - usually we are away and don’t get back until 5th Jan - and hate having to take stuff down then - but this year we are at home.

If I were you, I would wait until at least after New Years Day to clean anything. My dad’s side of the family definitely believes the superstition of New Years Day: do NOT do laundry on this day or a loved one will die within the next 12 months. My grandma did it 1/1/63, and this coming Saturday will be 61 years since my grandad passed. Hopefully it’ll work for you!

I’m not a lover of glass fronted wardrobes unless there is very little in them - it just annoys me that it looks cluttered. Clear outs in Spring - always - it’s when the winter stuff goes away and the spring and summer stuff comes to the fore
