Even without headshots the the two tap speed of the Officer Carbine is what makes it one of my favorite guns to play. You will win every close range gunfight that doesn't immediately start with you getting one-shot. Even if you miss or land an arm shot, you still have so much more follow up speed than 90% of the guns in the game. You can keep out of one-shot range for crossbow/bow/shotguns for the most part and still have 2-tap body shot damage. You can close on medium and long ammo guns and abuse the fire-rate differences. Personally, I think the Officer Carbine might be a little too strong still.

@@xmrsmartx2091 Yeah after the first time I ran the cyclone it felt like a medium ammo officer carbine. The price is the real issue with the cyclone for me, but I think it's probably appropriate given how good the base Vetterli is and the ammo options you have. Running Cyclone with a shorty Centennial or Springfield Deadeye is pretty fun.

@@JackJackKcajify idk about that. The recoil nerf hasn't been an issue for me. Small sample size given that it's only been implemented for so long but I've not had any more trouble with two-tapping than I did before.

It was never strong. It's not a go to for 6 STAR players. Compact ammo, especially a gun without FMJ as a special ammo is just too limited. They nerfed a gun that didn't need nerfing.

The nagant carbine is still good, I just wish they'd find a way to balance it without also introducing the random pull after each shot. I just don't like feeling like someone is yanking my mouse in a random direction each time I fire.

More damage (it'll two tap more reliably), probably longer headshot range, more ammo (I think) and arguably better sights. The bornheim match's place is definitely a secondary weapon that can be used as a primary if you want to take a second medium without quartermaster. (And if you don't want to take the dolch). It provides an almost officer carbine experience while allowing you to take a full length rifle or shotgun with quartermaster of course.

Why do they mess with this game so much? It seems common place with modern online games these days. It's like we're all treated as though we have ADHD. The Hunt I bought in early access to now is completely unrecognisable. It's crazy. The amount of cosmetics doesn't help either. I don't own the game I bought. It's a big reason why I quit. That and although I wouldn't change it--it eats up a lot of time only to die in a frustrating way. :)
