Tom was born in British Columbia Canada to be exact. He left Canada and travelled through Europe and other parts of the world because he said he never felt at home in Canada. He said Canada never really had any patriotic pride, or seemed to be very passionate about things in general. He needed to find somewhere that would channel his spirit and his energy, and he said when he first landed on American grounds and took a look around he immediately felt at home, and he’s been here ever since . He is devoted to showing appreciation to the country that literally saved his life and made his dreams come true.

Adam and Tom bring up a point in this song that needs more attention. The 2nd Amendment to The Constitution is where we get our "right to keep and bear arms." NOWHERE in the 2A does it say, "but only for hunting, sport, or self defense." As a matter of fact, it makes it very clear that our right to bear arms is for the "security of a free State." What does that mean? It means, as a last resort, we use our guns to protect our freedoms. I think it's funny that people fear the Kool-Aid haired freaks that can't figure out what sex they want to be on any given day. In reality, it's the group of guys in the bar watching the game that should concern people. Our country was started in a bar, by just that type of people. The only reason the Kool-Aid haired people exist is because we respect their rights to an opinion and their rights to voice their opinion. A respect that is clearly not shared.
