Calling it a "novel" is a sign of instant disrespect for a book that's actually a factual category book. It means nothing to me and I'll be reading the book myself to use my own discernment and intuition about which areas read as the truth. It's about basic human psychology at the end of the day - understanding motivation, organisational dynamics, the use of the media and the overall rational for such an inner organisation to exist. It's given knowledge that this kind of power operates in the White House, regardless of who's President. There are certain areas of public interest that are kept from Presidents because personnel have been working on those sections for decades. They are the ones making the decisions about what's disclosed or not. Each new President is effectually just a "visitor" to the American power core system and it's entirely logical that a similar set up would be in place in the UK.

The ‘vote Reform and get Labour’ argument doesn’t hold up. If that is the only reason people intend to vote Tory, they should look at the gap between Labour and Tory and ask themselves what point there is in voting tactically. There would then be an opportunity for Reform to win, as they did in 2019, as the Brexit Party. Yes, it was under PR; but knowing your party is heading for certain defeat anyway ought to persuade you to vote more honestly.
