@@isoldejaneholland8370 Exactly. Vernee was in quite a few episodes. The point I was making is that she was there from the beginning, the first scene in the pilot. Interestingly enough, she was the nurse in the sperm bank of the unaired, original pilot also.

As the show proceeds we literally forget that the show was about Sheldon life not missy and Georgie😅😅 both missy and Georgie carry this show so good that at latter stages we forget about Sheldon itself.........kudos to the character played by missy and Georgie 🫡❤

Great reaction, Olesya. I also like the character of Missy. I am aware a lot of people got annoyed by the character later in the series, but Raegan Revord that plays Missy really blossomed during this show at least. My favorite in this show is undoubtedly Annie Potts as Connie “Meemaw” Tucker. Absolutely hilarious & fantastic! This episode was the the first appearance in *Young Sheldon* of Vernee Watson as Nurse Robinson. She was the nurse in multiple episodes of TBBT as well. 7:02 Olesya: “It’s only the second episode…” This is actually the third episode. 😉 Thank you for sharing another video with us! ❤️

@@wess617 Bad mother? Yes. Bad grandmother? No. At least not usually. She does a lot of great things for her grandchildren throughout the show. She's an example of how bad parents learn from their mistakes and become better grandparents than they were parents.

7:00 Incorrect. It's the 3rd episode. 9:26 True! Yet another plot hole involving this episode. This is one of my favorite episodes. For one thing, it introduces Mee Maw, who became a fan favorite character. Sheldon later describes her as "The least moral person he knows," which is probably true, but she also teaches valuable life lessons to her grandchildren. Throughout the show, you will see her helping all her grandchildren out in ways that the parents can't. It also introduces to Pastor Jeff, not a fan favorite character but Sheldon's interactions with him are fan favorite moments. It also introduces the idea that Billy has romantic feelings towards Missy. This isn't the last we'll hear of that. That could also be the reason he becomes nice to Sheldon from this point on after previously being his bully. Secondly, it prepares us for the inevitable. It lets us know that the dad had previous health scares like this, which makes sense. We know what's eventually going to happen, so an episode like this is a great way to prepare us. This episode has so much heart. They have issues with the dad, but deep down they all really care about him. It does have some plot holes though. The big one being that Mee Maw isn't anything like she was on The Big Bang Theory. That's confusing. Another one is in grown Sheldon's narration at the beginning. He said that his father took pride in running the house on a tight ship and the ship got looser when Mee Maw was babysitting. That causes 2 problems for later episodes. First of all, the mom is the one that usually runs the house with a tight ship. When she's not home and it's just the dad, the ship is usually as loose as it is in this episode. The other problem is that this episode suggests that Mee Maw isn't capable of putting her foot down, when later episodes show that she is. Another plot hole: the nurse in this episode is the same as the one on the Big Bang Theory. How did she never age in 20 -30 years? Why did she move from Texas to California? But, I'm okay with that. Still great episode.

I tell people that if I wanted to gamble, I would have played a game of cards with my late great grandfather (Tootie, RIP). He would always win regardless of the game and "playing for fun" was not in his vocabulary. As the son, grandson, and nephew of Baptist preachers and an Episcopal priest, I can tell you by the writing of Pastor Jeff that Hollywood has no understanding of religion or a very shallow, surface level "we don't intend to learn at all" approach to it. Also, you do not interrupt the pastor during his sermon. It's not a Q & A.

Rhr same medical staff as Big Bang. Her younger self/sister. Who knows. We need more of his dad wisdom first. Yeah he passed away later I think Big Bang says. I was waiting and while I dropped off half way through the series I was spoiled by the ending which of course I won't mention. But it made sense once O got spoiled of what events I think had happened (I don't know enough) then why but I think it was weird as I think they shot have filled in more gaps after being spoiled by it unless it was a flashback or a earlit episode in S7 I don't know. Otherwise fair episode/possibilities and Meemaw introduced.
