You should watch how it feels to play spy so you not only get a better idea what you’re in for but understand how he works better. (Fun fact about spy, he was built off a glitch in the tf classic game where you could appear as an opposing player but never really switch sides.)

Overwatch was heavily inspired by TF2. TF2 was developed out of a long arduous process that originated with a mod for Quake which was named Team Fortress. The mod was so popular Valve funded its dev team to produce a sequel. The game went through several transitions, even becoming something of a Call of Duty clone for a while. Valve would finally decide to scale things back and return to the roots of the original mod which was an arena-based shooter revolving around several classes with an emphasis on teamwork. The result was the game we all know and recognize today. By simplifying the gameplay dynamic Valve was able to focus much more on the physics engine of the game and its netcode which provided a combination of satisfying FPS engagement and an indefinite skill ceiling which still holds up today. In many ways the game has been hailed as Perfect from a shooter standpoint. That precision gameplay and responsiveness is what Blizzard focused on when developing Overwatch as many of the games Dev Team were big fans of the game. That said, no, each class does not have an ultimate ability. Medic is a bit of a special case. The dev team knew the potential pitfalls of making a class which had a primary focus on healing rather than shooting in an FPS game and how it might detour people from playing him. They knew they had to give him something worthwhile to make him viable to the team and so the Uber Charge made its way to the game. By healing teammates and staying alive the medic builds up his charge over time. Healing more injured teammates provides more charge thus giving incentive to not ignore people on the verge of death. There is often no limit in terms of classes in a casual game so in theory, you could wind up facing off against 9 engineers with sentry nests. The Medic's Ubercharge is meant to serve as a stalemate breaker by offering one side a limited period to deal with otherwise insurmountable obstacles and take space. There are also a few variants to his Uber that serve well depending on the situation making him rather versatile. All the classes in game have a wide array of weapons with differing stats and effects that alter their gameplay in slight ways. The Meet the Team videos are not the trailer to the game, but rather introductory videos to the games characters as a marketing tool after the game was released. The original gameplay trailer shown at E3 was quite different and even contained elements that were ultimately changed for the final game. For instance, scout originally had something akin to a nail gun as his primary weapon, which was ultimately changed to his iconic scatter shotgun later on. (The baseball bat is his melee. All classes have a primary ranged weapon, a secondary ranged weapon, and a melee.* ) Spy originally had a gun that would tranquilize people, and Demoman had sticks of throwable dynamite as opposed to his now iconic sticky bombs among other things. The game overall does not function as a hero shooter like Overwatch. There are only 9 classes, each with a specific sort of function fit to their role, however, weapon variations do allow for a great deal of flexibility in how each class is played. A few minor weapon changes can fundamentally change how a class functions and the types of things it can get away with. Ah, another one to the rabbit hole. I would appreciate an uncut version. If you weren't paying attention to the actual "Meet the _____" title cards, it literally says "copyright lolololol". The only part that needs any kind of editing due to copyright is Pyro's part, & that's strictly because of the song they used being out of THEIR control for copyright.

Have him play first. Experience it, before insisting on immediately overwhelming him with a video only a regular TF2 player can properly understand. Too many inside jokes and tangents in that series.

The game has a decent following to this day, if you decide to do a follow up there should be a good amount of views! Fun to see people getting into it. There's a comic series as well. I'll say the bot problem has been taken care of (mostly) and pretty recently! If you do decide to play it I'd recommend doing a few bot rounds and then playing some real matches. Most of the fun comes with the other weirdos playing, lol... Good vid man 🙌

welcome to the wacky world of tf2. 1. These videos are just ads for the game around the time when it went f2p. 2. TF2 created so many memes and practices now done in gaming like loot boxes. Yes, Valve is responsible for loot boxes. 3. there are many more official and non-official tf2 videos and animations that are incredible to watch and I'm sure many other people will be suggesting them. 4. there's also a comic series and the final one got announced recently 5. soldier is just insane, he's not necessarily good at his job. 6. if you ever play tf2, now is the time. the bots have been removed (for now) so there's only other players to go against. 7. demoman's censored speech was just a joke about government censorship saying "they got more feckin sea monsters in the great Loch at Ness than they got the likes of me." 9. The vice actors (mostly) are still engaged with the community. Scout's VA has gone MIA, Engie's has moved on. Soldier's has sadly passed away. Other than that the VA's for Medic, Heavy/Demoman, Spy/Pyro, Sniper, and the Administrator (the person saying red spy in the base along with soldier) are still active with the community doing the sandvich saga, and working with tf2 youtubers to make meet the team irl. 9. no one wants to play medic. it's sad and medics get bullied all the time. it's a class you need but no one wants to play and gets bullied. but everyone likes medic as a character. also he's insane. actually. 10. all of them are insane. 11.
