The whole family benefited from the father and daughter. I felt like the husband and wife didn't even touch each other/ didn't even seem like they really loved each other. They was just together because of time and expectations. The son was not smart. They treated him like a child and he was mean to his sister. Now the sister might have been the only one with a little bit of sense, but she lived in a delusional world

If they make a second part, I hope they show her disappointed by the Friends finale because she was just annoying. And frankly she was a very unrealistic or unbelievable character. Most children don't have that sort of reaction. When their parents panic, so do most children. That kind of made her unrelatable. Unless this girl had some mental illness, but the recap doesn't mention it.

What an anticlimactic movie. The writers seems to have ideas that would birth mystery, thrill, fear ans anxiety, but looks likw thwy couldn't write their way beyond that intial idea and ride the wave of meaningful suspense and thrill. I cant believe i held off watching this till i had popcorn and wine. I almost fell asleep.

Ruth was truly the most annoying and spot on character in the movie. I wasn’t mad at the ending, I was just happy she finally got to finish the episode lol it was an ending that kinda let us know they would all be okay… for a little while anyway. There needs to be a part 2

For those who don’t know this movie is based on a book I understand your pissed about the ending but that’s the point of the ending the unknown. The worlds ending but we don’t know the reason of why the world is ending that’s basically the point of the movie it doesn’t make any sense but that will be our future one day not getting the answers you want.I think it’s a great twist because you overthink so many things of what could happen but it will never be revealed.

I think the ending is lackluster on purpose. The entire time the movie goes on, the way it’s directed makes us feel the anxiety and worry and uncertainty of what’s happening. We as the audience never know more about what’s happening than the characters do. I think it’s done on purpose. The ending is the only time we know more than the characters because we know the girl is safe but none of the other characters do so I think it’s left there to keep us sitting in the unease and confusion of not knowing what’s coming next.

This is what happens when someone thinks of a good premise, decides to make a movie, but totally forgets to imagine how it would end. 3/4 into the movie, you can see that it's just a bunch of apocalypse tropes. It had 0 clue as to explain why the fuck there are deers. The thought process was "okay, it's an apocalypse, but to make it a lil different, there'll be a bunch of deers and flamingos... but what do they mean???? I don't know, maybe I'll figure it out eventually".... and he never does.

Migrating patterns of animals were affected, just like is mentioned in the narration. That's why flamingos were in the pool too. It's probably a nod to how animals generally know when bad weather is coming or when something is wrong in an area and flee.

Deer symbolize warning. My sister and I had a deer come right up to us like that and soon afterwards, as we took a unknown forest path in the Porcupine Mountains, we got lost for 24 hours without any water or food. Incorrect signs also kept us lost. We survived because we found campers who gave us some water but we were close to collapsing. So heed the deer.
