@@SwordsmanRyan 4 8 15 16 23 42 refers to Jacob's numeration of the last 6 candidates Locke, Reyes, Ford, Jarrah, Shephard, Kwon. It's also the 6 that were lost in time and created the "incident" with the plutionium core and caused themselves to be brought the island 30 years later. We can only guess why Dharma would have access to these numbers or why they would even care about them, but the extra scene "The New Man In Charge" showed that Dharma was aware of Jacob, and Jacob probably would have helped them to clean up the mess and make the island inhabitable again.

I personally loved the time travel element the show brought in. I understand why some people dont, and often time travel ruins things, but I felt Lost handled it pretty well and it made for some pretty interesting elements and they didnt leave many obvious loose ends. Plus they brought in things like explaining why Richard visited Locke as a kid, why Eloise was mad at Charles for talking about sacrifice, etc.

It wasn't that the show got weird that made it suck. It's that they abandoned like 95 storylines (because they had nowhere to go with them) and just tacked on a story about two asshole brothers to "explain" the plot. It ended in a church with everyone waiting to go to heaven, like a 1960 CBS Playhouse drama. Weirder would have been better.

I loved this show when it first came out , I tapered off near the end as life was busy. Started re-watching the series recently, and I have made it to season 5, but just as years ago I am starting to taper off again. Binge watching it really makes you angry at the show and confused as to what direction they really wanted to head..... It's funny to see how clothes and style was back then baggy pants and long sideburns on the guys, and low waist thin eyebrows on the girls, reminds me of highschool days lol . I will say this , Jack's character should have not been the main character, he is very immature, irrational, annoying, stubborn, and a very unbelievable representation of a spinal surgeon. His constant faces and emotional decisions really get me.... just my 2 cents
