They're Coming! 2024 Toyota Tacomas On The Move! - Kinda...

Is the 2024 Toyota Tacoma delayed? New Tacomas are on their way to the dealerships. Well, kinda. There seems to be some sort of delay in the process. These trucks were suppose to be at dealers in late Dec into January, and we have yet to see any trucks. Is this due to an EPA delay? Parts shortage? Or is it all on track?
All I know is that they are starting to transport trucks from the factories in Mexico to the distribution yards which is really exciting!

If I want to know what is it to live with a hybrid, I can watch myriad videos about the various hybrid models of SUVs and cars or a hybrid Tundra. I want to see the new generation Tacoma. The only interesting part of the hybrid Tacoma is to see a real world mpg test. Nothing else would be an added value regarding the comparison let’s say Limited vs Limited Hybrid.

Jon, I went to my local Toyota dealership a week ago. The sales rep told me the same thing. The EPA is giving them a hard time right now so they are delayed. They said they are expecting trucks to hit the lot late March, beginning of April. I'm located in South Louisiana

I live in North Carolina, and my dealership called me today told me that my Trd off-road will be getting here within the next 50 days. With everything I ordered except for the swaybar disconnect and the color that I wanted but it was going to come with the predator steps and safe. I didn’t have an option to decline the predator steps and the safe, so I just took it

If it hasn’t been built, the inventory manager just unselects the options you don’t want. All options can be removed IF it has not been built/arrived at port or the lot. Used to have a lot of god convos with a Toyota manager. Even toyoguard platinum can be removed.

@@americandude3825 if you live in the southeast or gulf states regions, then a regional distributor controls what gets added. Dealerships often have little control over it. It sucks. They load them up with stuff you don’t want.

Hey John, last time we spoke you gave me some 24 Tundra vs 24 Tacoma advice. Ultimately decided on Tacoma , my allocation is a Premium OR ice cap. My build date was moved from 1/29 to 1/25 last week. So mine actually moved up. I’m going to reach out today to see if it has changed again and I’ll keep you updated.

@@TRDJon Called and talked to my dealer and it is still 1/25. However we noticed that when it changed from 1/29 to 1/25 they removed several options. I was originally slated for a premium with Sway bar disconnect and several port installed accessories. Predator steps , black badge kit , chrome exhaust top , and floor liners. Now it’s showing only the premium package and no other accessories. The price also reflects the change. Not sure what all that means but interesting to say the least.

Over the past few days quite a few have moved from Allocation to Freight. Mostly SR5 and Sport, but there are a few Offroads. I believe you said yours was coming from VA and there's only one coming in Solar Octane. It still shows Allocation. It will stay there until it's on a train or truck. No status of Build on this sheet. Maybe it's the Stabilizer Disconnect that is delaying yours. From a content standpoint, if you just get a Trailhunter there's not going to be much in the way of a build... it comes built. Up to you, but I feel like for views and for the extra money you could build up a beast. I know I'm going to build out my TRD OR and I was looking forward to seeing how you did yours.

I'm just guessing on that one... could be the paint color as well. Hard to say. Right now I have a build date of 2/5 on my TRD OR Premium. I don't have the disconnect and mine is black.

That's the way I feel. After taxes they are pretty much $50k. I can't imagine how much more expensive the hybrid powerplant will be. Would someone be crazy to pay $55k and 60 after taxes? That's my guess on what they will go for.

I priced a 2024 out similar to the options on my 3rd Gen. It came to $11000 more than my 3rd Grn. That's a big jump. Plus no dealer is going to discount any 2024's at this time.

Saw the limited hybrid at Barret Jackson but it was locked, the price is going to be out of control. The dealers here in Phoenix want 3k to 6k over MSRP for any hybrid model, including Corolla hybrid LE.

I dont understand the obsession with tacomas. The new interior looks cluttered, kinda cramped and a small 8inch screen that sticks out on top looks tacked on. For 44k trd or base. Yet trucks like the new ranger have a way nicer, comfortable interior with a better integrated larger screen and a wireless charging pad...for wayyy less. I really wanted a new tacoma but after seeing the new ranger...yea no thanks.

Tacoma has a 14” screen. Have you sat in it? Not cluttered at all. Also ranger is super super cheap inside imo
