Here in AZ Danielle over at Weed em and Reap said the same thing she was having difficulty catching the heat cycles. You are doing the best you can for your farm! Keep doing what you are doing. TFS! Blessings to you my friend. Have a blessed week. ✝🙏🏼💕

Hey. I’m new to your channel. Thanks for answering that question by a commenter. I wonder if you would answer my question. I’ve had a backyard dairy herd for 12+ years and we had our first goat abort last week. She was 66 days and passed 2 fetuses ☹️ I never found a placenta which had me worried but she’s not showing any sign of infection (no fever) and we had her isolated from the rest of the herd. She’s doing well now. Any way to the point, what do you do for a goat that aborts? Do you treat her with anything? Any medication? Thank you! I’m enjoying your channel.

Man alot of people have been having a rough kidding season. Hope the next one is better for them to stick ❤ also about the people that have something to say... Your doing this wrong or not doing that, are more than likely trolls who are never going to be pleased. i watch pretty much every goat farm channel small to large and I have noticed there are a few specific people/user names that I have seen shame every single video. I even saw the same person complaining on one video about too much intervention and the next one they said there wasn't enough and you can guarantee that person has never even been to a farm. Your doing great and I love those little hopping babies and apparently so does my 16 month old 😂

It has seemed to be a weird one for lots of breeders all over the place! You're so right about the trolls. It's easy to criticize when you've never experienced it in a real life scenario! I'm so glad your 16 month old love the sweet bouncy babies!!

I am so glad you are there taking care of your goats! I find a lot of people make comments how people “intervene” and they really don’t know what they are talking about. So thank you for not listening to people’s opinions.

I'm glad you agree! I’m there for my girls, especially when they're in need, and I’ll always do my best to give them the help they need!

Also I am 100% the same with my does my hands are going to be all up in them if I don’t see easy and quick progress and because of that we’ve kept all kids and does alive so far! Do what you need to do to keep those mommas and babies safe (plus I think the goats appreciate the help) ✨

You’re so right. I always believe in erring on the side of caution, and I think my girls appreciate it too!

Usually with cvv the doe will abort within the first 32 days and hopefully since she was bred later in the year mosquitos weren’t out but with the two both having it happen and the deformed baby who knows! They are still learning more about cvv everyday! There is a cheap test you can do through TVMDL (Texas lab) on the does which could give you a little piece of mind! Such a bummer I hope everything ends up working out for you, so many people have had the WORST breeding year us included so I feel your pain 💖

Thank you so much for the info and I may just grab a few of those tests!!! It’s been a rough year so far!!!

I am on the Pacific Northwest and so many of the dairy goat farms are having problems breeding. Not sure why. I only have two does and I know one is bred but not sure about the other one. They both have been with the buck nonstop since October 16, 24.

What brand of ultrasound are you using? I am looking for one. What are the pros and cons?
@MulberryBranchFarm5 күн бұрын
I'm using a Kiaxin. Their customer service is top notch. It's pretty easy to use but the user manual can be a little "over my head" with the medical jargon sometimes

My goat miscarried this year too. I found if I breed her in August, it's just too hot for the bucks which causes poor sperm quality😕.

It is definitely a bummer to experience. I noticed that a lot when we bred Boer goats in mid august for January kids!

I am also hands on. My girls expect me to as well. They scream until I am with them. I believe that if I let nature do it, the loss is extreme.
