I love how in the pre-interview MLH is STILL going on about the desert concert. Dude, let it go. It's was NEVER going to happen! He's like "I was THIS close." Sure, it looks like they might have been on board the night before George quit, but Get Back clearly shows that they were never going to go for it. That's just not where they were at. They wanted intimacy, not grandeur and besides Ringo had already vetoed it, as both John and Paul kept trying to tell him. but 50 yrs later, he still believes... 😂

Problem with Let it Be is exactly the fact that it has this almost "funeral" tone to it. From the start you feel like it's something put up as a music collage from the album. You can barely feel John Lennon's personality, Ringo and George get really sidelined, specially considering what happened. The only part I liked was the rooftop interviews, but then again, it's better on Get Back.

I do think the remaster was necessary since there was footage not in get back and to just form our own opinions since its so easy to take what others have said and pass it on as our own opinions. Plus not everyone wants to watch a documentary that has bad quality footage and audio so that's nice. Plus as you said the context of what was happening when it first came out really played a part in what people thought of it so now that it has been remastered there are probably going to be more more people watching it and seeing it's not as bad as people back in the 70s were saying it was.

@lofthestars2088 - I saw LET IT BE for the first time on Disney + & I'm 70 years old. I found it joyful & moving! I also had not seen Peter Jackson's GET BACK yet but knew enough that I could follow it. I was overwhelmed by the humor and the fantastic 'live' music. Since seeing LET IT BE I have now watched all 3 episodes of GET BACK. LET IT BE was a better experience for me!

Occurred to me while watching your video that maybe John was so dismissive of I me mine because George was on fire bringing in songs... He called i me mine his song of last night which Paul pointed out to John when John came in... Without a song from last night. Possibly John was too busy with heroin. I read a comment the other day that said heroin is what wrote the Beatles up.

Do a video wherein your viewers must obtain their own copies of the Remastered Version; and then do your video with time code markers. Make this a special event with a longish run-up time so that you can gauge interest while promoting it; and, of course, getting in some money will facilitate increased attention and focus. There won’t be a note of Beatles music or dialog!

Or you could say that Get Back is the improved, behind the scenes, true story of "let it be" movie. Let it be is structured as a concert movie I would say, As much as a documentary. Also it runs about 6 and half hours (guessing) shorter than the series. And "Get Back is definetaly a documentary about making of the film and the album. The original story that we got was "let it be". What I mean is, that saying that bible is a cheap and unbeliavable version of harry potter, would not do justice for either of the fictitious books. You have to put them in context.

It stunk. It was depressing. I’m a Beatles fan since 1964. I lived through Beatlemania. I could tell you things. The books about them and that period are filled with error. That film was a documentary for tv. It was horrible. Low quality 16mm film! Under light scenes. I was young but could have done a much better job.

For years I thought George walked out after his argument on camera with Paul but it was actually after an off camera fist fight with John due to John's dismissive attitude towards George's songs and the presence of Yoko in the studio.
