Marsya... PMS stands for Perempuan Merdeka Seutuhnya [ women who are completely independent ] The lyrics contain a protest against discriminatory and judgmental attitudes which are often directed at women who have mindsets, perspectives, attitudes and desires or dreams that are different from the general norm in the mainstream. VOB made their new song a celebration for women who have succeeded in breaking down this stereotype and represent the voices of women from various regions that are still heavily influenced by social norms wrapped in patriarchal values🖤 This single was written by Marsya (vocals and guitar), Widi (bass), and Sitti (drums) when the three of them were still in high school in 2017. “We wrote this song with the leftover energy from school. The thing is, at that time it happened that school activities were hectic. Awesome reaction brother, they ware born and grew in small village like in the middle of the dessert. Even mostly Indonesian people feel they came suddenly like came from no where. Till now I still feel wonder how did it come to reality. Marsya said in Pasiwali Fest Taiwan when she was in Islamic junior school her mom asked to her dad to work in Taiwan due to chaotic economic condition. But her dad did’t allow her mom.
