I'm gonna add this for others who don't know but Yejun, Noah, & Eunho are producers for their songs, while Bamby and Hamin are the Choreographers (they did a fan concert where at the end credits you Bamby and Hamin's name came up on the "Choreography" credits.). You can actually get some insight or hear a glimpse of their recordings in a compilation called "Plave being musical geniuses" (for short so you wouldn't have to have the whole streams) PLAVE was supposed to be just a vocal group but Bamby suggested that they try adding choreographies, thus leading to Noah persuading everyone on doing so even tho Yejun and Eunho hesitated a bit. +For lore reasons Hamin's year of date is unknown, but we know he's old enough to have a "drink"... VLAST is a tech company, if you watch some of their older videos/stream you can actually tell that there are improvements on their models that they don't usually glitch that much any more, and the company doesn't have much of an experience of handling kpop groups... I and many people guessed that they might be using their own equipments(?)... This "Virtual Idol" concept is fairly new to kpop, so some may deny and hate them but I'm so damn proud of people giving them chances and becoming fans at the end! I was actually surprised when they debuted and showed up on my recommendation✋

This is actually so interesting! It’s essentially what Vtubers are, I really love that Plave introduced Kpop to Virtual stuff it’s so interesting to see those worlds mixed together! I will be checking them out even more!

I've been a kpop fan for over a decade and plenty of older kpop fans understand what V-tubers and tracking technology are. It's surprisingly the younger generation of fans who are bashing PLAVE saying they are AI and animated. One even called them anime and I just can't. These same fans refuse to educate themselves because they think "real idols" losing to PLAVE is ridiculous. I think it's amazing how far they've come and how they adapt to normal idol routines - concerts, promotions, fan events, etc. My favorite members are Bamby and Eunho.

virtual kpop groups are SUCH a good idea for SO MANY REASONS, so it really sucks that so many people are dismissing them as AI or just generally calling the concept weird. seriously, it protects their privacy, the members don't need to stress about expected beauty standards, and we could even get older idols who may otherwise be deemed "too old" to debut (and just give them fake ages if they really don't think older idols would "sell," or as just another layer of privacy)

Hello!!! Loved ur reaction🥺 just came here to say (or repeat) that the members themselves are the ones dancing (all 5 of them) in theur mocap suit. 2 of the members made all their choreographies!! Also about their MVs, it’s always them dancing as well!! They produce their own songs as well (you can check that on their credits). They super super talented!!!

Oh the amount of time kpopies calling them ai is making me ☠️ it's so sad plave is kinda like a punching bag to them, calling them fake and stuff. Some even say their 3D model was stiff and ugly. I mean ppl can have an opinion but, cmon guys. But it's so funny tho, they'd be reacting to vtuber like it's a witchcraft or something. Funny thing in regards to bringing up AI and VR, there is a k-pop group that has two AI members. The group name is SUPERKIND. Also, Bamby is my bias. Sooo... :X

I didn't know anything about them, and on kpop twitter I saw fans of other groups bashing them for "being AI" a lot, complaining about them winning prizes over their faves because "why are they winning over REAL idols???" and "imagine training for years to be an idol only to be beat by AI", so I used to think that there weren't real people behind them. My sibling had to explain it to me (thanks,sib! love you and I'm sorry for judging PLAVE) and told me about how not only are they real people who produce their own music and choreograph their dances, but they are all former idols (I think all? or almost all) that I knew, and some of them I was a fan of in the past. They're getting a new chance to do what they love and they're finally getting the success and recognition they deserve. Thankfully, the Korean public really likes them, so hopefully international fans will eventually catch up and realize that these are real and talented individuals working hard to make PLAVE happen, and that's their voices and movements added to the characters.

So glad that you got to know them elio!!! They’ve achieved so so much and we’re all so proud of them despite all the hate thrown towards them. Lucky for them they’re popular in Korea, but receive quite a lot of backlash from k-pop Stan’s who don’t understand the whole “virtual idol” concept. They’ve marketed themselves under the #vtuber on twitter before their popularity boom, so it confuses me till this day as to why they’re still not that known or talked about in the vtubing community!
