NEVER seen a power metal group that delivers the goods the way lovebites does. just incredible talent,songwriting ,brains and beauty beyond compare. you are definitely lovebitten.they have 4 cd's since 2017 and almost every song has the amazing solos that is trademark of midori and miyako the guitar samurai's. i'll buy anything they record.

Metal is universal!!! And these ladies will be huge. They've already (since a few years back) established a contract with an european distributer JPUrecords and they sell a lot!!! Now it's time for south and north america.

The detail of the unsheathed katana at the beginning of the guitar solo is something epic, and when at the end of the solo the katana is sheathed again it is legendary. Discovering Lovebites is the best thing that happened to me in 2021.

I would definitely be torn if Band Maid and Lovebites came to St. Louis at the same time at different arenas.

Band-Maid brought me to you, and Nightwish and Lovebites kept me here, so I'll subscribe, just to watch you go nuts over these bands. There is a lot of overlap among the J-metal and Nightwish armies, and I think it has to do with loving strong women who produce gorgeous music while kicking ass. There is so much more to see in J-metal and Symphonic rock, you could devote the entire channel to it. One minor quibble: I don't see Miyako and Midori as "battling". It's a dance, and they complement each other better than any other guitar duo I've ever heard of. As one reviewer said, "It's criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band."

As much as I'm a Band-Maid fan, Lovebites for now will be my choise on a Friday evening during the afternoon shift. Just a few hours to finish all the work, energy levels reaching the red and with Lovebites blasting you gain energy! And with time to spare, the job will be done!

Great reaction! Now it's time to hear the greatest power metal ballad of the century: LOVEBITES -【EPILOGUE】DAUGHTERS OF THE DAWNーLive in Tokyo January 27, 2019
@salsaucedo4 жыл бұрын
Yep, these beautiful ladies never disappoint, i have their entire collection but one "Daughters of the Dawn" live video. I love it all there isn't one song that is not good. So, if you want to react to a power ballad you need to check out "Epilogue" one of the greatest (Gary Moore) style solo by Miyako. Here is the kzbin.info/www/bejne/h5iueqKwbZ1gbqM

Looking upon the Ark of the Covenant in Raiders of the Lost Ark is not as face melting as these solo duels. And then the coda. For treat, look for Miyako playing a cover of Gary Moore's Parisienne Walkways

I think my mind is playing tricks, but during the chorus when she sings Carry on, it sounds like there is a kettle drum way in the back.
@hiawatha.g4 жыл бұрын
BTW, you don't need an album just for their duets, because almost every song by the group features long dual shreds. It's just what they do. But I get where you're coming from. I've never heard anything like them.
@michaelafrancis13614 жыл бұрын
Loved your reaction but there is one thing I don't understand when people talk about the guitarists Midori and Miyako. They always refer to their guitar shreds as "battling" solos or "face-offs" or some similar competitive term. With all due respect, I think it's a bit of a boy thing to think of this sort of thing in terms of a battle for one-upmanship.... Anything you can do I can do better.... if you take my meaning. In fact I wouldn't even describe them as solos let alone competing solos. They are guitar duets.... harmonising and cooperative. They are not playing against each other; they are playing together in harmony. They are not trying to upstage the other; merely to enhance each other. It's a game where everybody wins,
@bhg704 жыл бұрын
The "guitar battle" is simply a figure of speech, referring to a dual, back-and-forth solo with two guitarists, male or female. It's not about one-upmanship but just a fun way to refer to the trade-off, since these types of solos really highlight the difference in styles of the two guitarists.

if you do buy any music from lovebites i would recommend the cd 'clockwork immortality. it's the previous cd before this one. don't get me wrong - pentagram is loaded with a ton of great to amazing songs and i love it but clockwork had the same effect on me when i first heard led zep 1 in 1968 or stand up by tull the year after. i feel like i am in a metal war listening to it . with beautiful samurai warriors!
@glenkelley67994 жыл бұрын
Agree, when Zep released that first album, rock changed forever, I wore out the grooves that summer and then the second one later that year. Between 66 and 70, it was almost impossible to keep up all the new bands. When I first heard Band-Maid two years back, it reminded me of that period, then Lovebites and Babymetal. It was discovering all these new bands in a short period of time that was amazing and similar.
@thedocofrock18904 жыл бұрын
@@glenkelley6799 yup i'm with ya. funny enough band maid was the first japanese band i heard in 2016 and also at the time fell in love with destrose on the metal side of things.then they disbanded and naturally loving miho and haruna heard about the new band lovebites and have been addicted ever since. can NOT get enough of this. i can't even imagine if these girl groups came out in the 60's or 70's. guys would have lost their minds with this level of shredding . kinda like now!

Thanks again for a great reaction and thoughts of a music video. So good you put up info about the band you are watching. It is time for you to add to your list a live song. I can't recommend enough 'Break The Wall' Surprisingly, it has remained on YT, as it is lifted from a DVD. There is backing used and obviously post production but it just epic and to show she is human, one of the guitar players does miss pitch a note. Here is the link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/j3zNfmeNbtajnbM
