For anyone dealing with crappy companies like this (in the uk) where people don't respond, get everything in writing and if they disagree with what you're saying etc make sure you get that in writing too, either email or letters, then they're basically forced to do their job properly otherwise you can take further action (and they're aware they're in the wrong so they'll try to stop that)

That’s what happened to my parents. Basically they found a car that they really loved, went to go view it. all good, test drove it. all good but the dealership was so rude and added so many options that my mum didn’t ask for it put the price up o high they got denied on finance

This almost same thing happens to my mom. She got a car, that has a bunch of stuff wrong with it. She brought it back. They had it for about a month. They broke the windshield, and just kept giving her the run around and worse and wore rental cars. They refused to even consider giving her a new car or talking about a different one. She has been a loyal customer of this car dealership for years. It's just sad what people will do. Glad you found a new van and hopefully you get the other one resolved soon. 💜

The plastic packaged ice popsicles (called fun pops in the U.S) have saved me immensely when my kids were teething. I’ll trim up the ends so they don’t cut their mouth on it and maybe cut a little bit off on a corner so they can suck the juices out and they LOVED it. But aside from that, I hope everything can get resolved somehow!

Try giving koazy some small popsicles or small ice frozen popsicles :)! Make sure to wash his mouth with water after if any flavor is used. We did this a lot with my baby brother and it helped him a lot with teething :D!!

Honestly love your guys videos. One thing that I'd recommend is if you haven't decided on the toilet yet for your van then have a look into the cinderalla incineration toilet as it'll help you out a ton in terms of having to empty it, the smell etc.

Some friends of mine were in a very similar situation with a company to fix their driveway only for the companies machines to make bigger holes...civil conversation was had till all of a sudden silence and absence...my friends had reached out multiple times with nothing positive and out of the blue my friends received a sue for backpay by the company that hadn't finished the job...so it had been 2+ years maybe more of back and forth till my friends settled and paid them the $20k they had always intended on paying them they just never finished and admitted to causing the further damage to the driveway...I hope your story with your van will not move in that direction and that everything goes smoothly...what a great thing to be going through a trusted source from the beginning with Dave and Helen and this new van is bringing that positive light into what I hope is no longer a negative weight...good luck 🫶🏽

Consumer rights act 2015. The vehicle should be fit for the purpose you purchased it for which you discussed with the dealer/salesman. It isn't "sold as seen" when you buy through a legit trader. You are entitled to a full refund if you raised your initial concerns within 30 days, /end of. No 3rd parties, no mediation, no fixing it, no replacement vehicle just a full refund if that is what "you" want. Tell them you don't want to mediate, that you want a full refund, why you want it, and when they can collect the vehicle from you. Keep it simple, to the point and polite and don't enter into discussion. Tell them if they fail to do so then you'll go to a solicitor, explain the situation to them and pay them to write a letter demanding the same, a full refund plus the solicitors expenses or you will go to court. That's the last thing they want because the vehicle devalues over time, plus the expenses incurred they'll have to pay and they'll still have to refund you when they lose. You have the power here, The law protects you, not them. They are in the wrong and It's their own fault for not checking why the vehicle stank in the first place and cleaning it before sale, they were being lazy. They could have also had it professionally cleaned when you first went back to complain and you'd have been happy but they were to greedy to do that. Anything else is stalling for time to get you over 30 days. I'm guessing because of the advice citizens advice gave you that you have past 30 days. Up until 6 months you still have the right to reject a vehicle but after 30 days they have the right to put it right once and once only. If they don't fix it then a refund should be forth coming. If they do then you have a cleaner van to sell on. As for refund amount, that has to be agreed or be taken to "mediation" if both parties can't agree on a fair reasonable amount, taking into account mileage, wear and tear etc You are to nice I'm afraid and they have taken advantage denying you your rights. Also and sorry to ramble on it is illegal for a business to trade like this, they should be forth coming about your rights and options in the event of a problem. If you paid via credit of some description either a card or hire purchase agreement then you are also protected by the consumer credit act. You should always pay by credit card for everything big or small but something tells me you paid by bank transfer or worse you went full cash. Contact your bank if you transferred they might help but don't hold your breath on that.
