Millenium Shield was actually a meta card back in the super early days of YuGiOh. I'm pretty sure it won the very first YuGiOh tournament in a deck made to stall out the opponent and win through burn effects.

dude there are some really amazing toon orica Cards, at least there were several years ago. Unique orica cards are kinda rare to see now which is a shame because they are amazing. I have a Red Eyes Black Charizard orica and it's honestly the coolest thing ever.

Allowing all Toons to attack the turn they're summoned won't change much since Toon Black Luster Soldier (BLS) and Toon Dark Magician Girl (DMG) already can. Toon DMG doesn't even need Toon World to attack directly, interestingly enough. I think what Toon decks really need are more ways to recover/recycle. In their current state, cards that go in the Graveyard (GY) become completely useless. The only card that does anything in the GY is Toon Bookmark.

Ahh, well, at least there’s still Lunar Queen Elzaim, who’s her recolored counterpart, and who has never been printed in the TCG or even reprinted once in general in over a quarter of a century

@@Squiddys You joke around, but no normal monster could kill it normally. Blue Eyes needed support and no one used it anyway because Summoned Skull got released. Realistically you would use your Man -Eater Bug, Raigeki, Fissure or Dark Hole. It was relevant all the way up to the GOAT format, when Exodia was really relevant for the last time.

It's because simon muran (ancient egyptian yugi's grandpa) used her a lot in the old video games, when he's not being used as the tutorial duel like in forbidden memories, of course. This goes for all of them except sengenjin's retrain - which is here because the theme is built around simon's millenium key & him using it to seal exodia and sengenjin's card lore is that he collects millenium items, including the millenium shield. (Plus he's meant to be a "millenium" monster anyways based on his japanese name so they might as well throw him in while they're at it).

Yeah, I had him in my light theme deck back when just because I thought he was cool. He was never good TCG but he was really good when he released on OCG, one of the best beatsticks until 1800 and 1900 monsters released.

Moon Maiden and Fiend Reflection are there because they were used by Simon Muran in old videogames like Dark Duel Stories. I wouldn't be surprised if we eventually got a Millennium retrain of Orion the Battle King for the same reason.

Fun fact their spell can give their fusion an effect that allows you to send all the pieces to the gy and pay half your lp to give your fusion an effect. But when the fusion is negated you can activate that effect forever allowing you to keep lowering your lp untill you have 1 lp left.

It's actually something closer to what adrian did in GX - the new exodia fusion is your wincon you turbo out instead of going for the exodia alt win con. BUT while you're playing and trying to win with the fusion & friends, you're secretly building back the exodia alt win con. So the deck functions kind of like a seesaw. You build towards one victory method (the fusion) by pushing back the other one (full exodia hand), but when the fusion goes down - that further enables the exodia win. And so you're going back and forth between the two and if all goes as planned, your opponent will be constantly having to switch tactics to keep up. Similar to the way adrian dueled yubel with his exodia/fog castle deck vs yubel's sacred beast/yubel deck. Except make no mistake - this deck is designed for simon muran from ancient egypt... it has nothing to do with GX. It just plays in that sort of style.

Shield is still pretty good even as a normal card. Because it's a Warrior with Low/No Attack it was super easy to tutor on the field as a blocker.

I'm glad they made an effect version of Cosmo Queen, one of my favorite normal cards. My favorite normal monster was always Vorse Raider. I'd love to see an effect version of it, and no, I don't count Kaiser Vorse Raider. I'd also love to see a Serpent Night Dragon with an effect.

Funny enough you can use branded fusion to summon millennium eyes restrict and it won't be bounced when you fusion summon exoida due to it having the name "millennium", food for thought

I love old normal monsters. Sometimes for fun, my friend and I play decks with silly and fun cards, rather than good ones. A deck would have like 7 vanillas and MAYBE 1-3 good cards. When Abaki beatdown is a good deck, it's a good format.
