This whole video was so much fun to have on in the background while playing on my own server- also 2 years old. 2.5 by now actually. And from that server has bloomed a story, a project that means more than anything else in my life has. This video perfectly captures not just the beauty in history and humanity, but also the beauty of minecraft. This game is so beautiful and heartfelt in so many ways, I can never get enough of it. My mark on the world will be left because of this game and i'm only in my mid twenties. But im more than okay with that, ecstatic even. Jshlatt a few years ago made a video asking the question; What is minecraft to you? And I wrote down my answer at midnight one random night on a google doc sitting at my desk in my room eating cheetos. But that writing was so profound and so genuinely from the heart that not a lot of writing i've done since has come close in replicating that cozy yet melancholic feeling that minecraft brings. The story, that project, that I mentioned earlier, is something that no matter who it is I share it with, they are always warmed by the joy and love they can tell my best friend and I have put into it. And that project itself has only existed for around about a year and a half. There's been writing done, songs made, drawings created and cosplays planned. And every single part of that contains just as much love into it as the others. Like I said before; I can never get enough of this game. Keep it up Neon, you being a historian here is more important than most people may realize. I'm so excited for the future of UHC generations. For your own videos, and beyond.

The duo series idea seems really cool and interesting. With the death part it would be a fun idea that when the two start together, they form a bond then, inevitably, one of them meets their demise. I personally don't get the sudden stigma towards mods like Litematica... It literally just makes building things easier. If you're already building something based on a specific thing (like following a farm tutorial) then why bother trying to do it by memory? A lot of my best builds I've made were done with Litematica. Its a lot easier to avoid getting overwhelmed when you can build it in creative mode first, and then rebuild it in survival with a neat guide to follow.
@FlamingMoai6 ай бұрын
Litematica is great. I think the trend Leon is talking about is people wanting to move back to free-handing builds instead of planning them in creative first. I think both ways of doing things have their merit. I personally used litematica a lot in this series.
@lasercraft326 ай бұрын
@@FlamingMoai Ah okay.
@LeonSBU6 ай бұрын
@@lasercraft32 yea, this mostly applies to SMPs, where time spent planning in a singleplayer Creative world = time not being spent on the server interacting with your server-mates. i mainly brought it up because it was on my mind when i was asked the question. for a single-player series like UHCG there's no harm in using Litematica imo
@lasercraft326 ай бұрын
@@LeonSBU I guess that's fair... I can see how servers like Hermitcraft would benefit from not having Litematica.
@squasher50086 ай бұрын
another big element of this stigma is more on the content creation side of litematica than personal use. There is a small population of people on youtube and other content creation platforms who utilize various tools to copy someone else's stuff and claim that they were the og creator of whatever content they are copying... Litematica can easily be utilized for this function. (most of the time litematica is used it is not for this means but pessimism and deepseeded mistrust is a thing)

Two ideas for the "2 people having the world at the same time concept". 1) It could be done like a "Sensei and Student". Where it starts as a solo series then the next person is brought in after a while and given a tour of the server. This acts as a recap for fans of the creator already in the world, and an introduction for fans of the new comer and from there it just works like a collab series. 2) It's two creators, sharing one account. Which could be convenient, if said two creators were in very different time zones. Like an American and an Australian or something.
@NicNacNooNic6 ай бұрын
There could also be a Yin-Yang duo where the "creation" side gets like a month to protect everything while a "Destruction " side tries to ruin everything and outsmarting the Creation side (Which would still be alive and trying to stop them)
@Alex-026 ай бұрын
@@NicNacNooNicWouldn’t work, the destruction side is like 10x more powerful so it would be an easy win for them. It also goes against the spirit of the series to destroy stuff.

Adding onto your list of ideas, I’d like to see two people starting the world initially, then when one of them dies, they’re replaced by someone only the dead player would know. That way, there would be various people who’d contribute to the world, with different styles and personalities. It would be a lot of fun seeing different people initially strangers, becoming friends through interaction.

i think it would be more significant that if the world was given to the public they are given their own chance of continuing the world in their image, hence the whole idea of generational, I think there's significance in the world continuing to be passed off, not just towards specific individuals but the entire public, it wouldn't make much sense in a generational world to be cut off once one generation decides so
@JorgeArmandoCazares4 ай бұрын
Ironically I think this is exactly how the world ends. The main server is released to the public and inevitably becomes an anarchy server. To me it would be poetic and perfect to end this way.

I'd say that determining when to end the series would be a tough thing to do. Minecraft as a game has been infinitely fruitful, and the game just keeps getting more expansive every year, so there's never something not to do. Personally, I believe it really depends on how much a player will care for it and believes it's time to do it. But content wise, I could see this series go on for 10 more years and then some. I don't even think view count will impact much on it, since this series started out small anyway.

Ive poured my soul into this world...and I'm not the first person to do that.
