We always changed gears by the rpms. Motor guy says 6800 is what he wanted to turn the motor to get the horse power out. Go out and turn 6900 take a tooth off. That’s how we still base gear.

That's exactly what I've been saying about Chases driving style. He also needs to come off the bottom when going down the straights when he's not being pressured from behind. If he can open up his corner entry it will allow him to carry more speed through the center and exit.

When I raced go karts, 15/58 was my go to gears, 14/62 was good as well

Chase had my luck on that race. He will be giving you hell on the track soon. My Birthday is in July too and you better get you a big stick for the boys lol. My youngest girl turned 37 today. Nothing good family fun.
