Great list. I'd put VWJ ahead of GG, since people kind of know his potential

I've been a fan of the Grizzlies since it was a rumor that we were getting a team here when I was in middle school. I've been through all of the ups, the downs, the sweeps and all. I've NEVER been this excited about them until this season.

Real fans have the best memories because we know the journey it took to get here. Still remember the games nights in the Pyramid when seat were so empty they let fans comes sit closer fast forward to ZBo and Marc dominating the League for 2 months straight. love Grizz Nation 💪🏾🐻

Jaylen Wells is what we thought Zaire Williams was going to become. Love the rooks game! I'm excited to see what the future holds for both him and the Grizz!

@waddeazy352 That seems accurate so far, can't wait to get GG, VWJ, Edey and Wells together on the court. Our vets won't have to take nearly as much physical load.

Glad you focused on his rim ability. He started as a stand still 3 and D. However, he recently has used the threat of his 3 to beat ppl off the closeout

100% ROTY. Hands down the best rookie. Plays way above his age. He suits the grizzlies too. He makes game winning plays.

2pts only cuz of Free Throws. Steph 0 field goals I think you should view the Grizz’s tactics cuz it’s really different

Since Kleinman and Jenkins came on board the Grizzlies have done an amazing job with late 1st and 2nd rounders. But Jalen Wells is next level. Let's see how many teams try to duplicate Jalen's success againstCurry. He's a joy to watch. Thankfully the Grizzlies have moved their broadcasts from Fox Sports South to Fan Duel so I can watch without cable.

What's crazy is if Jaylen Wells was on any other team in the NBA he would have been buried on the bench behind someone with less potential mainly because he was a 2nd round draft pick. The Grizzlies have given him the confidence he needs to thrive and learn while not looking over his shoulder for a sub when he makes mistakes. The perfect situation.
@ayanmohamud14159 күн бұрын
finally someone talks about Jaylen Wells man, very good three point shooter and his defense is insanely good at such a young age. ❤
@ShaneofthefutureАй бұрын
It was his three pt shot that was noticeable at first but the rest of his game has really been good. Defense, playmaking and attacking the basket. Shooting over 40% from 3 with over 4.5 attempts per game on top of it. I dont know how the FO identified this stuff in advance. I am not sure what to think on potential DPY...maybe? For the ROTY he has a shot but one of his teammates also has a good shot. I honestly would not be surprised if either of the Grizz rooks win ROTY.

Before the season started I truly thought the grizzlies needed to make a trade for maybe cam Johnson but lo and behold kleiman found a steal.
@bradleypaul9729Ай бұрын
Thought it was a nice selection but didn't see him playing any significant minutes this season. He had a reasonable summer league but nothing that really screamed that he would be a rotation player with how deep the team is. Been nothing but impressed with him this season and he hasn't just held his own he has excelled and has been showing growth throughout out the season.

The same problems that plagued the team during the play off losses to Lakers and GSW showed up again in the recent two losses. Lack of 3 pt shooting among starters (JJJ and Ja) ; ball movement and player movement stops when Ja is running the show; the new offensive schemes are stopped and as the coach said, it becomes a two men game between Ja and Des. Some of the fixes require conscious effort from Ja and Jaren to not shoot that many 3 pt shots even if they are open or purposely made open. Yes JJJ has been better this year, but Ja is a bad shooter and needs to avoid shooting 3 pt shots; get back to floaters when paint is clogged. Playoff basketball is played at margins and Grizzlies cannot afford Ja trying 8 to 10 three point shots. Once in a while he will hit more than 4 a game but that is an outliers. SGA never takes many 3 pt shots even though he is better shooter. play to your strength is the only way to win tight games. Also, how to have Ja embrace the new offensive schemes and do more off ball movements. The half court game becomes a problem when Ja is running the show and paint is clogged.
