I’m a Muslim but have not as yet read the full Quran translation in English. From the bits I have read, I was taken a back by the verse in the Quran where Allah (God) tells us that “All living things are made from water” and the verse about the Bee and the Nectar…. The Bee functionality only came to light not too long ago historically by scientists ( I know this by listening to a nature documentary on BBC Radio 4 about Bee anatomy and functionality) and I recollect the great scientific minds at NASA telling us that if their is water on the planet Mars then it may possibly sustain life. The Quran was Allahs (God’s) Divine words revealed to the prophet Muhammad ﷺ an illiterate man living in Arabia over 1400 years, not a place of great learning or an advance civilisation. [Sahih Muslim] 6) Sayyid al Istighfar The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: The most superior way of asking for forgiveness from Allah is: 'Allahumma anta Rabbi la ilaha illa anta, Khalaqtani wa ana Abduka, wa anaala ahdika wa wadika mastatatu, Audhu bika min Sharri ma sanatu, abu'u Laka binimatika `alaiya, wa abu'u laka bidhanbi faghfir lee fa innahu la yaghfiru adhdhunuba illa anta." The Prophet (ﷺ) added. "If somebody recites it during the day with firm faith in it, and dies on the same day before the evening, he will be from the people of Paradise; and if somebody recites it at night with firm faith in it, and dies before the morning, he will be from the people of Paradise." [Sahih al-Bukhari] 7) Subhan Allah wa bi Hamdih. Subhan Allah al-Adhim The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "There are two statements that are light for the tongue to remember, heavy in the Scales and are dear to the Merciful: 'Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi, Subhan-Allahil-Azim [Glory be to Allah and His is the praise, (and) Allah, the Greatest is free from imperfection]'." [Sahih al-Bukhari] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Purity is half of iman (faith). ‘Al-hamdu lillah (all praise and gratitude belong to Allah)’ fills the scales, and ‘subhan-Allah (how far is Allah from every imperfection) and ‘Al-hamdulillah (all praise and gratitude belong to Allah)’ fill that which is between heaven and earth." [Sahih Muslim] 9) La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lahu; Allahu Akbar kabiran, wal-hamdu lillahi kathiran, wa subhan-Allahi Rabbil-'alamin. Allahummaghfir li, warhamni, wahdini, warzuqni "A bedouin came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and said to him, "Teach me a few words to recite frequently." Grant me pardon, have mercy upon me, direct me to righteousness and provide me subsistence)'." [Sahih Muslim] 10) La hawla wala quwatta illa Billah The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: "Shall I not guide you to a treasure from the treasures of Jannah?" I said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah!"
