Assalamu-Alaikum, I understand that some of you may be concerned about a brother marrying a non-Muslim woman. First and foremost, while it is often discouraged, it is indeed permissible in Islam for a Muslim man to marry a woman from the People of the Book (i.e., Christians or Jews). It is important to acknowledge that we do not fully understand a person's intentions, personal circumstances, or private lives. Judgment of such matters belongs to Allah alone. Before we pass judgment on others, let us reflect on our own actions. Apart from the marriage itself, which is permissible, it may be that we ourselves are engaging in actions that are more displeasing to Allah than what this brother has done in his life. The brother may also be engaging in many good deeds and striving to please Allah in ways that we are unaware of. Please accept this as sincere advice, not a criticism. We do not have the right to judge others or to assume that we are superior to anyone. Of course, when clear disbelief is expressed by someone's own words, we are aware of it. But in matters where there is ambiguity or uncertainty, which is true in most instances, it is better to think well of others and conceal their faults. By doing so, Allah will conceal our own faults in this world and on the Day of Judgment. Just imagine if all of our bad thoughts and deeds were made apparent to the people. Alhamdulillah, it is only because Allah has concealed this from others that we have any dignity and respect in their eyes. May Allah grant us the ability to be compassionate and lenient towards others, so that we may also receive His mercy. Ameen.

Similarly, in the same verse Allah made the food of the people of the book permissible. But pork is prohibited for the Muslims. So, we eat their food but not the haram. The same verse allows marriage to the people of the book. The ones who believe in the oneness of Allah. The ones who did not change their religion. If they choose kufr, should muslims still marry them? No, we will not, just like we eill not eat pork despite the verse making their food or marriage to them permissible. We still have to consider the Qur'an as a whole. In fact even the end of that same verse condemns kufr. You're right we must not judge individuals but we should not at the same time say it's fine to marry anyone from the people of the book.

I think it's also equally dangerous for people to have mindset like yours. Religion would somehow become reclusive culture thing. Comforted only to its kind. Hardly grow to embrace challenges for betterment. Have you not seen how some of these interfaith marriages produce strong believers stronger than many of those raised in 100% Muslim society who practice the religion as a culture and not much as a faith? And when questioned, most can't answer beyond the tradition perspectives that could hardly convince the questioner. Alhamdulillah for Allah's Wisdom. Allah has allowed certain things for the benefit of His believers. He has allowed interfaith marriages between Muslim men and people of the book. And thus Allah's permission should not be downplayed as "dangerous".don't you think so? And yes May Allah guide us all

I know MANY children who have been raised by Muslim fathers and non Muslim mothers and none of the children practice Islam. Sadly so many Muslim men misinterpret the Quran when it makes reference to the fact that they can marry women of the book. The women of the book that the Quran refers to are women who are Jews or Christians who cover like Muslim women yet practice Judaism or Christianity. To look at them they look very similar to the practicing Muslim woman. Instead the Muslim men marry non Muslim women who say that they are Christian or Jewish but don’t really practice their religion maybe they don’t even visit their places of worship, they don’t cover often drink alcohol, smoke etc no wonder the children grow up either not knowing Islam or weak in their practice of it. Allahu musta’aan. Allah azza wa jal knows best.
@alexojideaguАй бұрын
Nowhere does the Quran say Christian women must act like Muslims. It advises Christians to not believe in the Trinity, but it doesn't say they must not.
@taiyabach5342Ай бұрын
The reason of them marrying them is purely based on physical appearance and the religion is used for justifying their physical lust. Once a guy asked a Muslim that can he marry a revert girl but without informing his family to which he replied “Brother, Fear ALLAH! We all know why you want to get married with her” So if tgis is the case with reverts then what it could be with non Muslims. Men have downgraded themselves way below the lowest line. I pray to Allah to give all our Muslim sister sabr and its better to stay single throughout your life and dedicate your life in serving the deen rather than marrying such men who are just Muslims by name.

I’m in a position where today I can’t even have a hood relationship to my children. Acts speak louder than words, as one might say, so they will realize it has a positive impact on my Grandson, son, cousin etc. being a Muslim, thus more easier to digest for them.
