@@kizzjd9578 I launched the boat at Barnicle st boat ramp. The first creek on the right heading out. I was out with my niece. Had 6 pots got 4 good keepers. The first pot just in that creek was gone mate. So came home with 5 pots. The thieving animals. It's simple really if it's not yours don't touch it! What don'ts they understand about that and it's a $50000 fine if they are caught. Let's hope you catch em mate.👍

I caught one of those eel tailed cats when I was a grom and my dad stepped on the fish so we could get the hook out and got the spike straight to the foot! He was spouting all sorts of words 😂

Yeah man they are painful no laughing matter , I had one on a muddy bank stepped on it and the spike broke off in my big toe joint , it came back out of my foot years later with an itch in my boot and it was the spike working it’s way out , step on one you won’t be laughing they are deadly dangerous.

Here in Hervey Bay one guy did set up a trail cam. He put the still shots of a blue half cab and a fishing kayak up on Facebook in each photo the culprit had the pot rope in his hand. Go big and go public.

Hey mate I was crabbing in the ross on the weekend of the tenth not sure if it was a similar time to you and i lost 3 pots but I put mine down to tide as the tides were so big and I actually ended up finding 2 of them right out the front past the bridge as I had some pots on the sand out the front. all of mine that were tied up had crabs in them and still there. as much of a pain it is the zip tie is a good way to know if someone has opened your pot but there is a possibility that the tide could have taken that pot that was out the front of the creek.
