and btw, voice actors are already fucked, a guy made a world of warcraft addon called voiceover that create voice lines for EVERY quest in the game, orc, trolls, humans, dwarfs etc, each one having theirs own caracteristics and u cant really tell thats AI generated.

Tbh value judgements of humans are weird. If in two years, all voice acting for games is done by ai, then two years later a game will come out with a human voice actor and become extremely popular because of this. Coolness only requires social assymetry; what is now not cool will become cool but it just needs a catalyst. Likewise, what is now cool will become uncool at some point. Soon, AI voice actors will become cool, but a couple years later when most of the possibilities have been achieved, people will get bored of it's ubiquitous nature.

for therapist one, if you want to talk to an actual human about their life experiences, AI can never replace that. voice actor one totally agree it's the most f-ed. AI can read text and infer the tone, pipe that into a voice generation AI and it will talk like a human. chef is pretty safe. while AI can come up with new recipes, it can't taste it to see if it's a good recipe. why is translator is still a job lol. there is just way too many translator software out there.

i think AI will be used more as tools to assist in a job and maybe evolve jobs. But never in a position to fully replace people.

Pan you are way too on the side of AI at this point at least. The therapist was right. Her job is super nuanced alot of others too. Like you said personality based things. And alot of those need personality and some manipulation. Bartender would not be fine too. A bot without AI can do that
