Jamie, my paw has 12 horses in two big areas, similar to your paddocks. Last year, a 3 year old female brumby was being crazy before the storm. She ran and fell sliding under the bottom line of the 3 line barb wire fencing. Because the fence line was so tight, the horse got stuck halfway under the barb wire. All the cuts all over her side from going under were horrible. Let alone her getting scared, trying to get up from under the barb wire. As we ran over to try and help she scooted up falling again from the sloppy muddy grass. She tore some really bad in her back left leg. I cant remember exactly the name of the injury. But it was the biggest vet bill my paws had in 60 years of horses. So now see your muddy area ours is like that from the horses. We have to run string line and them easy thin poles you stab in the ground. To stop the horses from getting hurt again. If your muddy area gets worse you might have to do this too. To keep the horse safe from themselves being crazy.

Omg the horses have gone wild, 😅. They are having a blast running in the mud and sliding around. Even pony Ivy is racing around. They are running , slipping and sliding, kicking up their heels and having a ball. Ive never seen all of them acting up showing off in the pasture with the mud. Good morning Jami. The wild ones decided to have some fun after the rain and play amongst the sloppy pastures to help with the fly situation. Haven't seen Buc ees and VooDoo get the fighting, kicking biting between them for quite some time. Always afraid that they will kick too high and hurt each other. They don't really mean to do that but it can happen. Hope the projects were completed before the next batch of rain came flying thru. Thank you for sharing. HAGD.
