One of the nice things about watching LTT over the years has been seeing new people arrive, start out as nervous assistants to Linus in his videos and then steadily develop into relaxed, entertaining presenters and likeable characters who have their own recognisable style and interests and can carry a video on their own. PIO makes so much sense, wish they would release an adapter plate to fit any case with an open expansion slot area, then the GPU backplate would be in the old motherboard IO area. Makes way more sense and saves so much more room than "connectors in the back". Also you could use a PIO motherboard with 2-4 slots in the usual area and they would be completely out of the way of the graphics card.

Nice to see Mac Studio have a true competitor. And I say this as a Mac user.

@@bluephreakr Don’t worry man, I’m going to build my own machine soon, it’s going to be tiny and ITX, but I’ll still be doing it.

@@abubakrakram6208 I actually said that because Ryan of Level1Techs joked about that in a 099 video about Grep.

Funny how the huge gpu sizes kind of annoys me but when installed in a small case it becomes cool. Like, it's a huge block that is perfectly fitted into a little box with good airflow going from the bottom, out the back. It's pleasant.

"I live in expensive city, so I bought a computing form factor that typically increases my costs." Yup, makes sense. 😛

When you put that 4090 gpu, how was the heat inside the case? How is the cooling performance at that build?

So this is the successor to the Node 202. I am quite impressed. I might need to invest in one of these for my future HTPC for retro console emulation that I want to build for my living room.

Always wanted to do a really small form factor build but where i live is so humid through most of the year temps would be higher than id want them but its so tempting to have just a little box thats super powerful

Reminds me of my old dear Fractal Node 202, absolutely loved that case, but it could not cool well at all

I used to have cooling issues the Node 202 but as soon as I put a founders edition card with the blower cooler design, it's totally fine and super quiet.

For someone who prefers to have a large-capacity HDD on a on their builds, it's a bummer to not be able to fit a 3.5" HDD. If you were to build on this system, you'd have to settle for a maximum of 8GB-10GB of HDD storage by using 2 4TB or 5TB 2.5" HDDs

The real crime is not turning the thing on and doing a quick temperature test. Come on, guys, such an awesome build
