The part about the Somerton man is missing a few details: the notes were actually decoded and they turned out to be related to horse-racing, or specifically, the betting on horse races. It's understood that he had lost so badly at the races that, rather than face the bookies to whom he owed money, he opted to end his own life; thus the piece of the Rubaiyat "Tamam Shud," or "It is finished/done." It was, effectively, a very simple suicide note. The spy theories come out of the original mystery where everyone thought he was a spy because of all the intriguing circumstances surrounding his death, but if you read more into the solving, it all makes sense. It's just a sad case of a man who lost too much and couldn't find a way out. While I love the thrill of mysteries, I am glad they finally identified him and his family, alive or not, can have some closure.

There's a fun phrase to consider whenever you encounter a bizarre coincidence: "The only truly remarkable day is the day when nothing remarkable happens." There's so many people alive and so many events occurring simultaneously, it's guaranteed that there's another bizarre occurrence happening every minute of every day somewhere in the world.

For the hiking story: The Russian Government suggested an avalanche - and everyone called bull. But the program used to make the snow in Frozen [yes FROZEN THE MOVIE] was used to PROVE it was an avalanche. And that most of the injuries proved it very likely they were in the tent, mostly in their underwear and scrambled to get out. The missing eyes and things is likely due to local animals eating the bodies [it did take them a while to find the more messed up ones] and some of the other injuries may well have come from disorientation, slipping and falling. The extra radiation can be explained by the fact that they were not too far from a military testing ground and likely picked it up trying to survive and consuming radioactive food/foliage or animals. The animals feasting on them could've also left behind these traces. But yeah they basically have confirmed almost 100% that it was an avalanche - and it was likely due to them setting up on a slope that didn't look like a slope - which is apparently a common occurrence.

Well, this is a interesting case indeed. But. All of them were experienced hikers, even the girls. Tents were visible so if it was an avalanche, it was a really small on and wouldn't freak them out. Missing, body parts, wildlife, sure. But reason of panic? Not sure.

Yes, I never found any part of that incident unusual except maybe the radiation but I always thought that reeked of something added much later to make it sound more unusual. I mean, why would they even test the bodies for that? Dyatlov Pass seems about as "mysterious" as Roanoke, another non-mystery that somehow people have become baffled by.

@@RudolfSikorsky A slab avalanche most likely occurred some time after they cut into that slope in order to pitch the tent on level terrain. Unfortunately for investigators who arrived on the scene many days later, slab avalanches leave very little trace. What I find quite interesting about this event is that the investigators said that the footprints leading away from the tent were those of people WALKING not running. So If they were in a panic why aren't the footprints further apart?

32:30 - The Dyatlov Pass incident is a fantastic unexplainable case, but you missed some of the injuries that are even MORE puzzling. You forgot to mention the 2 or 3 with crushed ribs having circular burn marks on the skin where those ribs were broken and sternums were caved in. An avalanche could crush their chests, yes, but an avalanche doesn't cause circular shaped burns. There's even more of that case that completely bombs any rational or potentially earthly explanation. All together, it gets SO much weirder and inexplicable.

So there's a phenomenon I like to call "conspiracy fishing." Basically, what happens is that people can be susceptible to paranoia and distress when a freak event occurs, because it gives them a sudden and unpleasant reminder that life is unpredictable and something bad could happen to them without warning on any given day. They start to try to look deep into these events and invent patterns and connections - these can be born from details that don't make immediate sense to them (regardless of how little they would know, since they aren't connected to the event or the people), sketchy claims made by other people, or even wholly invented facts and conjecture. They search for any and every little thing that can convince them that there's some grand conspiracy behind the event and a shadowy force at work that's trying to hide the truth - because, paradoxically, the idea of an powerful agency manipulating things is more comforting than the idea that there is no greater reason to it and things sometimes just happen. The whole story with Mike Lynch feels like a good example of that. People hunt for reasons to think that there was deliberate shady business behind it, when realistically, it was more likely just a combination of hubris (that allegedly 'unsinkable ship' looks horrifically badly balanced to me, and rich people usually think they're indestructible - especially one that just got exonerated, legitimately or not), lackluster decision making in a panic situation (the crew probably felt like they had to get things under control before alerting the passengers), and the raw power of nature at work (seriously, high winds, rogue waves, a ship can go down like THAT). As for his business partner, globally 1.35 million people die in traffic accidents every year. I doubt it would have received much, if any, attention if Lynch hadn't had his freak accident. Frederick Valentich wasn't abducted by aliens. Don't get me wrong, I don't think we're alone in the universe, but I also don't believe Earth's airspace is joyride central for ETs. What I know, though, is that hallucinations, delirium, and visual impairment are symptoms of hypoxia, which can happen when one is flying at altitude and something goes wrong with the airplane. I suspect that that's highly likely to be the correct explanation. As for the lack of debris found, that's really not that uncommon - the same thing happens sometimes for ships, which are far bigger vessels. The ocean is a fairly nebulous mystery in a lot of ways on its own. While not necessarily as likely, it's possible that MH370 had a similar underlying explanation. There's at least one known case where a passenger airliner crash was caused by everyone on board the plane being incapacitated by hypoxia - they may even have been dead before the plane ran out of fuel and crashed. Nothing says it couldn't have happened again. The lack of distress signal and erratic events could be explained by disorientation or confusion on the part of the pilots while deprived of oxygen. We will probably never know for sure - it's unlikely the wreckage will be found period, much less in a state where it could be analyzed for that. With Kalachi, it makes sense that not everyone would necessarily have elevated blood levels of CO - levels of exposure could vary, and 'elevated' is nonspecific enough that some of them could be higher than baseline but still fall within an accepted 'normal'. While some may look to weapons testing theories, I think there's a more straightforward one that I'm surprised wasn't mentioned - the mines aren't actually inactive. If there's one 'conspiracy' I could buy into, it would be secret uranium mining. I could absolutely see there being a motive, especially if one was trading with a country that other countries didn't want to have nuclear capabilities. Interestingly, Iran and Kazakhstan have been growing trade partners in the last few years. Just food for thought.
@MForest90
@MForest90 15 күн бұрын
While most mysteries/conspiracies are ""conspiracy fishing", but shady things do happen. I personally think that it is just as bad to always assume that these mysteries are just "conspiracy fishing", as to always think that the mysteries are conspiracies. It doesn't mean something is wrong because something lacks evidence/witnesses and involved people refuse to help, it just mean that it can't be proven or disproven. Paranormal is an exception, it's always false.
@DoctorNovakaine
@DoctorNovakaine 15 күн бұрын
@@MForest90 Sure, there are actual conspiracies and actual shady business. But when a conspiracy amounts to a whole lot of lack of understanding and inconclusive conjecture, elements of which can be reasonably explained without that much difficulty, that's fishing.

So to explain the last of Dyaltov pass mysteries the reason why some where missing eyes or tongues is because they we found face down in water which speeds up the decomposition process and soft tissue like skin, eyes, and tongue are usually the first to decompose. The radiation is more than likely caused from their watches, which at the time were usually coating with uranium so they’d glow in the dark and going out hiking it’s smart to have a watch you can see in the dark. What wasn’t mentioned was some had broken bones and even a fractured skull. Between the their tent and where they were found there was a few couple small drop offs which if you’re in a hurry at night it’d be easy to not see them and fall and break something. Finally the photo is of one of the hikers. You can see in its right hand is carrying what looks like it could be a bag you can also see the collar of the jacket in it

In the video, he did mention the fractured skull and other broken bones that some of the hikers had. As far as the missing eyes and tongues, it was never mentioned whether they had been cut out or decayed away due to the heads laying face down in water. We may never know exactly what had happened to the hikers in Dyatlov Pass or what had scared them so badly that they slashed their way out of their tent. Hypothermia would explain why some of them had no clothes on.

Whether that's what happened, the passengers all scrambled to one side and the weight shift caused it to rapidly descend, were the carbon fiber Hull became too weak, there's one thing that's Still Remains true. That glorified trash can should've never gone that deep into the ocean. If you want to do something stupid and go down there yourself, go ahead. But don't drag other people into something when they don't fully understand what they're getting into. As far as I know, they were never told in the waiver about catastrophic failures. It was only discussed on the ship, when they were heading to the diving site. By that point, they couldn't really back out.

Bullshidtz, S/Y 47m ANDROMEDA LA DEA The Yacht Second Perini Navi yacht for the legendary yachtsman Thomas J. Perkins, S/Y Andromeda La Dea was the second of the 46m series, but lengthened to 47m to accentuate the beauty of the traditional long counter stern that was typical of the original Perini Navi design. S/Y Andromeda La Dea sailed in every ocean of the world, East and West (from Hong Kong to the Galapagos), North and South (from Alaska to Antarctica) - completing three circumnavigations of the globe for three successive owners! Strikingly beautiful in blue and silver with dark red leather interiors and a wood-burning fireplace, it was Perini Navi’s ambassador flagship throughout the 1990s. Its adventures included a North Atlantic Passage during the prefect storm that became the subject of a bestselling book and a popular Hollywood blockbuster.

Oh I'm surprised you did say the other theory about the submarine one: That they all plotted it to make it seem like they were still on board but they got out before the sub went too far down and now they're on a private island with a new life and plastic surgery.

The despicable audacity to present someone like they don't know what is up from down.... These people claiming that one pilot mistook his own lights for a ufo while flying upside down just shows how strangers love to present someone like they are stupid while presenting themselves like they are so much more knowledgeable and experienced If you are upside down, don't you think gravity will easily make you realise that?? Make a handstand right now and tell me if you don't know the difference from what is up and what is down

Everyone thinks the pilot of MH 370 was responsible, but I propose a different theory. In Malaysia, like Japan, the honour system is very strong. There is very little that Malaysian women won't do to land a rich husband. The copilot was engaged to be married when he died. I believe it was either an elaborate suicide or, more likely, a way to get out of marrying a gold digger and her family. The honour system in Malaysia dictates that should a man get an unwed woman pregnant he not only has to marry her, he has to support her entire family. Suicide is not an option because of the immense dishonour it bestows on their surviving family. The other option is an accidental death, which is exactly what the Malaysian government has gone with. Plus, if the death is ruled as accidental, only his family benefit from life insurance but, if suicide is ruled, the fiancé's family get a share. That's my theory.
