Make me feel so ignorant & selfish, he was so protective that he had his jaw kicked so hard, could not eat or drink for months. Nursed him, until he was better. Should leave it here now, but that does not make me feel better. So sorry for leaving you my Precious Baby, love you to the moon & back. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Not Always but i will say if it's the largest impact. Dogs are like people in terms of personality. They all have their own type. I have a dog who isn't aggressive but he's super grumpy. He has everything a dog could want. He's loved, healthy, fed well, goes to a golf course and chases geese off the greens. Has a big backyard. Has another dog for companionship. Yet he's still a grumpy little guy.

When the pitbull breed came over from England, their main job was to be protective especially against infants and children. They were the "nanny breed". Helen Keller's pitbull saved Helen from danger when she got too close to the stream, other animals and helped find her when Helen strayed too far from the yard. I have loved and lost my pitbull and I still have trouble getting another one for over 2 years. They are amazing.

Many years ago when the Shar Pei first came to the USA I had one. She was a perfect example of the breed and was a loving angel. People were frightened of her because they thought she was a deformed pit bull. Once a very little girl sat on her like the dog was a horse. Poor dog whined because she thought she was being abused. The dog shook her off, turned around and licked the girl's face as if to say "I want to play too, but not that game" . All dogs should be approached with caution.

I have been a staffie owner and lover since I’ve been a child myself. This is one more stereotype story for the breed that had the perfect ending and one more reason why we all need to look at this breed as individual dog and not lump each one into the bad apple category. I fully agree that there some bad apples in this breed but if you are real with yourself there are some in every breed big or small. The more we open ourselves to understand how they communicate with us the more we will see how they sense things we as humans so many times miss cause our senses aren’t as keen as there’s. Again, Big Hugs and lots of LOVE for the staffies we have around each of us. Dogs will tell us lot more if we just listen and not be so close minded that they are just a dog.

One of the best things, I like to see is a dog, and a baby. Dogs seem to have more awareness of situations that could develop into danger. It fascinating how dogs are so protective with babies. How do they sense things?I worked with a dog, that somehow knew, when deceit, or something is not right. He would growl low, and show her teeth. ONE guy I arrested, tried to fight Geronimo,our German shepard. He was in the hospital for four days, getting stitches, and he had a severe concussion. Man's best friend, all over the world.

Pits are not innately more aggressive than any other breed. I have a pit lab mix. I raised her with my other dog’s help. I raised her just like I raised every dog. Love and training for discipline. Nothing physical about training. I don’t use force. Never. I use calm confident behavior and treats. She is a huge love bug. Trust and respect for the dog must be displayed in your training and you will succeed. The only dog I ever had that couldn’t be trained for anything was a toy poodle puppy. Max would not listen to me in puppy obedience training for nothing. He’d heel, sit, and the rest but not stay. The trainer said he would not be able to be trained. She said I could crush his spirit and fight against his need to be near me or just accept who he was. He’s the only dog I’ve ever had obedience trouble with. The only one I sought help with. He weighed 14 pounds. I ended up crate training him at home because he was bored and destructive. His mother, Bailey, an 8 pond toy poodle was an ideal dog. She could have been shown had I wanted. I didn’t. Max was just Max.

The mother was paranoid. I have had 8 protection dogs, 7 GSDs and one Doberman. My life was saved from bad people and saved by the behavior of 5 of my dogs. 5 events were prevention of burglaries, one was prevention of rape by 2 men. All my dogs were well trained and never hurt anyone……except by the police. Every protection dog I have owned over 25 years has done something important to help me and my husband. I didn’t have dogs as a child. I saved the Dobie as a Vet Tech, who have been stolen and abused. I saved his life and spent months caring for him, finally adopting him. When he saved me from those rapists, he was quiet, strong and intent on communicating his protection of me to the men. They were frightened and ran away. After he died and I stopped traveling so much for work, I got my first GSD. He saved me twice from burglars, along with 2 other GSDs I had. Some people are afraid of my Charlie, a very happy well trained and social dog. Just because of his breed. Charlie has never had to protect me in 4.5 years, but he is totally devoted to me. He is a happy healthy dog, but comes from 10 generations for Champion protection lines. It is in his DNA. Poor pitbulls are used for fighting. It is common in many areas. But they are sweethearts. It is humans who train them to fight. We are the problem .

@NTHeartwarmingStoriesАй бұрын
This story is a poignant mix of fear, love, and misunderstanding, shedding light on the deep but often complicated relationships between humans and animals. Laura’s concern is understandable-any mother would prioritize their baby’s safety over everything else. But the decision to rehome Rocky feels both heartbreaking and premature, especially without fully understanding his behavior. The tension lies in the assumptions we make about animals based on fear rather than evidence. Was Rocky’s behavior a genuine cause for concern, or was it an act of quiet protection? Too often, pit bulls are judged harshly because of stereotypes rather than their actual temperament. Laura and Daniel’s story highlights how these biases can lead to rushed decisions with lasting emotional consequences. Yet, the mention of a hidden truth in the footage is the real curveball. It forces us to confront the possibility that Laura and Daniel’s instincts, however well-intentioned, may have been misguided. What if Rocky wasn’t a threat but a silent hero trying to signal something crucial? This tale challenges us to balance caution with understanding. It’s not just about protecting Sophie but also about giving Rocky the benefit of the doubt-a lesson in trust and the complexities of interspecies bonds.

What an insightful and beautifully articulated reflection! 🐾❤️ You’ve captured the complexity of this story so well-the intersection of fear, love, and the challenges of understanding our animal companions. It’s so true that stereotypes, especially about pit bulls, often cloud judgment and lead to rushed decisions that can have profound emotional consequences. The idea of Rocky being a silent hero rather than a threat is a powerful twist, emphasizing the importance of truly observing and understanding our pets’ behavior. It’s a reminder of how deep the bonds between humans and animals can go-and how much they depend on trust and communication. What do you think could have been done differently in Laura and Daniel’s situation to create a better outcome for everyone? 😊

Pit bull dogs are good dogs but highly dangerous and unpredictable if in the wrong hands of awful people who only use them as weapons for fighting in dog fighting pits.

I understand the mother's fear, it's her motherly instinct to protect her child, however I'm so glad she finally realized that labels and stereotypes is what got us humans in this division in the first place.😊

You said it so beautifully! 😊 A mother’s instinct to protect is so natural, but it’s heartwarming to see how understanding and love can overcome fear and stereotypes. 🐾❤️ This story is such a powerful reminder of the importance of open hearts and minds. What was your favorite takeaway from it? 😊

It’s amazing how dogs like Chloe can completely change our hearts and perspectives! 🐾❤️ Pit bulls have such a special way of showing love and loyalty once you get to know them. What’s your favorite thing about Chloe? We’d love to hear more about her! 😊

Pitbull's are not the problem the owners are the problem .(obviously because of their stature they are scary ) Pitbull's are the best babysitters ever .They are pack animals if you are in their pack god help anyone who threatens them .our Maltese was worse with the grandkids than the Pitbull cross

Thank you for sharing your perspective, Wendy! 🐾 You're absolutely right-responsible ownership plays such a huge role in a dog's behavior. It’s heartwarming to hear how protective and loving your Pitbull cross is with the grandkids-it really shows their loyal and nurturing side. ❤️ And isn't it funny how the smaller dogs, like your Maltese, often have the biggest attitudes? 😂 Do you have any memorable stories about your dogs with the family? We'd love to hear them!

Not watching this video. The title tells me that their are people who DO NOT deserve the pleasure of owning dogs.

If you look at Old Pictures from Victorian England you will always see a Pit watching over the children. They were at that time known as Nanny Dogs. They were the kids Protector. Pits are Loving Dogs it is the Bad People who made Bad Mean Pits not the Dog.

Thank you for sharing this historical insight! 🐾❤️ It's incredible how Pit Bulls were once celebrated as loyal protectors and "Nanny Dogs" in Victorian England. Their natural love and gentleness with children truly shine when they're in the right environment. You're absolutely right-it's not the dogs, but the way they're treated by people, that shapes their behavior. Do you have a favorite memory or experience with a Pit Bull? They really are amazing companions! 🐕❤️

At about 10:53..it mentions that Rocky was growling at something in the corner of the room....what was it? I am really missing this part of the story!!!
@TOUCHINGANIMALMOMENTS21 сағат бұрын
Great observation! At around 10:53, Rocky's growling was likely his way of alerting to something unusual in the room. Dogs can sense things we might miss, which adds to their incredible charm! If it wasn’t clear in the video, it might have been left to interpretation-what do you think Rocky noticed? We'd love to hear your thoughts! 🐾

Pitt Bulls get a bad rap ! It's humans that teach dogs to hate to attack humans and other dogs .They are the sweetest , loyal , lovable dogs Don't get me wrong their instinct to protect family is bred into them but they are friendly dogs .

You’re absolutely right-Pit Bulls often face unfair stereotypes, but they can be some of the most loving and loyal companions when raised in a caring environment. 🐾❤️ Their protective instincts are just part of their nature, and when treated with love, they’re truly amazing dogs. Do you have a Pit Bull in your life, or a favorite story about one? 😊
