They wash your hands at the table in this Moroccan Restaurant in Algeciras! Real Moroccan Food.

This beautiful Moroccan restaurant was recommended by the man at the hotel. Everyone treated us so nicely here and we were excited to try the Chicken & Lamb Cous Cous. The waiter approached our table with a large pot and basin and told us to wash our hands first. That it's a custom we have in Morocco. When the food came, they were two huge plates of grilled lamb, chicken and cous cous. The flavor was amazing and we washed the meal down with a few beers. At the end the waiter brought a large tea pot and did a type of tea ritual. He poured the mint tea into the glasses, from some height. Then he repeated the process 3 times. The mint tea was so flavorful, we were so surprised by the fragrant smell and taste. W also enjoyed some cookies with our tea. We both loved our experience and would for sure be back. The resturant is called El Embajador.

Este hermoso restaurante marroquí fue recomendado por el hombre del hotel. Todos nos trataron muy bien aquí y estábamos emocionados de probar el Cous Cous de pollo y cordero. El camarero se acercó a nuestra mesa con una olla grande y un lavabo y nos dijo que primero nos laváramos las manos. Que es una costumbre que tenemos en Marruecos. Cuando llegó la comida, eran dos platos enormes de cordero asado, pollo y cous cous. El sabor era increíble y regamos la comida con unas cervezas. Al final, el camarero trajo una tetera grande e hizo una especie de ritual del té. Vertió el té de menta en los vasos, desde cierta altura. Luego repitió el proceso 3 veces. El té de menta era tan sabroso que nos sorprendió tanto el olor y el sabor fragantes. También disfrutamos de unas galletas con nuestro té. A los dos nos encantó nuestra experiencia y seguro que volveremos. El restaurante se llama aEl Embajador.

It's a traditional costum in Morocco for many centuries. Was used in every home. They are using what's called " tass o yado" the bottom is used to collect dirty water and has a soap holder. The kettle sets on top of the soap holder. My parents still have one.

Hi Kerry and Mikko great looking food. It looks like you had a tagine they are delicious sometimes they put fruit in apricots or prunes when they cook these. I would definately recommend you go to Morocco it's fascinating. You can watch them making tagines very healthy food. The restaurant is awesome. Hi Harry, I try to explain to them that I have a KZbin channel and what I am doing first. I have been told not to film in certain places, when that happens I usually just leave. If I just ask random people on the street, it's probably around 50/50. In a restaurant or business it's usually higher, as they see it as a way to promote their place most of the time. So maybe 80% accept. Yes, most Spanish people are friendly. Thanks for the question.

I remember that restaurant from the 70s it was named Alfonso in front of the ancient train rail road. when i was a kid my father brought us with the whole familly to eat fried fish an chips that was prepared by two Spanish elderly copple aged 75 years old and still working then.
