Yeah in normal Poker straights are more common than flushes and definitely more than full house. Due to how this game is set up, it's way easier to make flushes and full houses which makes their multipliers a bit wonky. A flush base or full house gives you like 40x4 whereas a straight gives you 30x4. Given the difficulty of making straights in Balatro I'd say that despite Poker odds, straights should give x5 or x6 base. Probably x6.

The issue is the only real way improve your chances of getting straights is wasting a joker slot on the one that lets you have gaps or hand size, which is also good for every other hand type so it's not actually a reason to use straights. If there was a tarot card that made straights easier like "wild rank" cards and they buffed the jokers relating to straights it would be good.

5 of a kind base is 18 mult. Without adding the effect of enhanced cards or kings, which trigger first, vagabond will give 18*1.5=27mult. Why don’t replace the vagabond 1,5x with a flat +10 mult 😹.

​@@vetofallen521 yeah, he should just be looking at the mult he has after the hand is scored, but before the jokers (especially X mult jokers). His playstyle is that he thinks he needs flat mult, but if he looked, he'd know that a 1.5X on already 100 is just better. Similarly, to evaluate how good a chip joker is, he should look at his played hands and know that e.g. if your hand is 100 chips, a 100 chip joker is equivalent to a X2 mult joker. This is A^3 for all the A type andies.
