Also one of the lowest hull mass of all large ships, barely larger than for Type-7 (reason it can jump so far). So low in fact, that I would call stats buggy, when armour is still so high.

The Dolphin is secretly a very good jump ship. It can fuel scoop while charging the FSD without overheating, meaning it can jump in and out of system as quickly as possible while also keeping the fuel topped up.

The dolphin is/ possibly was the coolest ship ever, I used it to explore when I was starting out after doing passenger stuff with it, and I could not ever get it to overheat ever, I was in exclusion zones while charging my fsd never went above 100

The iCourier was my choice for building my "FIreball XL-5", because it has the distinction of being the fastest ship that could also get to Semotus Beacon. What good is just being the fastest ship if you can't also meet the criteria of "flying you around the Universe"? Semotus Beacon seemed a good benchmark for that.

Alliance Chieftain, the first available ship capable of taking down two goids in one fight. Beluga, the ship capable of killing a goid the quickest. Alliance ships (other 2), the cousins that are capable of more but are slower than the original design. Diamond Back scout, a ship capable of becoming a sniper (thank you D2EA for that awesome build, I used it and loved it). Fer-De-Lance, that one ship that does so good, that you won’t need another once you max it out. (Shield values are crazy on that ship) Sidewinder, that one trash can that once you have enough money you get out of it due to its shear stupidity, and it looks like a sized down wannabe cobra.

Sorta newbie here, most I’ve ever had was about 20million credits. Current go-to ships are Asp Explorer (for range, since I’m still sorta trying to find a foothold, but thanks to your vid on best stations I now at least have an idea) for a sorta multi class exploration (really just jumping, discovery scanner, sometimes map planes, rarely land) and a wee bit of light pve, and the keelback for mining.

TheYamiks that falls in exactely the same category as mentioning the FDL being the only medium and cheapest ship with a huge hardpoint. Why is it grasping at straws on the corvette, but fine on the FDL? It's an objectively unique aspect on the ship, regardless of hating or loving it. Its certainly less of a strawman than the cobra 3 and asp was.

Alliance ships - Best hardpoint convergence of all medium ships. Only ships with more than 1 set of engine nacelles. Chieftan feels like it has the best lateral thrusters of any medium ship, but I don't have exact stats on that one.

Federal Assault Ship. See reference "The shell of a Federal Dropship". Or how do you make a Federal Dropship faster? remove some hull plating, strip two medium hardpoints for one large, and remove a size three and six internal compartment in favor of a size two. That should make it faster.

My fleet consists of 1 DBX for long range exploration, 2 ASP X (1 exploration, 1 mining), 1 Courier because it's gorgeous, 1 Krait Phantom (planet scanning and exploration), 1 Type 9 - because cargo, 1 Type 10 Defender - just to join the owners club, Anaconda for Exploration and bulk passengers, and one Cutter - Because I'm Your King! I did just finally make Rear Admiral, so a Corvette may be on the way, and the Orca looks like a money maker in the CEOS/Sothis runs.

Something to take note the Cobra Mk III has the joint highest stock boost speed as the Viper Mk III and Imperial Eagle, but upgraded has the fastest boost speed in the game.
