Sure that's true but I did go and look into it. It seems to have some merit however they are optional ceremonies you can choose to attend. Not the best thing, I personally believe everyone should learn to live together. But it's not exactly segregation. IDK where the colleges funding for these extra ceremonies is coming from. But they are private businesses and can choose to do as they please I guess. If people don't like this they should take it up with their school if they don't care it is what it is and it will continue to happen.

Exactly, the US _has_ freedom of religion. If you want to be a Mormon, or a Muslim, or a Buddhist, you can be. Everyone is happy with that, except for some Christians, who seem to think freedom of religion means everybody should be Christian. I don't understand how you can argue that taking away somebody's freedom is increasing freedom. Then again, half of the UK voted to have their freedom of travel restricted in a major way and believe they now have more freedom, so I suppose it's some strange neurological disease.

While not enjoyed by everyone and unjust to many, I think America started becoming "great" in the 1870s, peaked around the 1950s, and basically ended when hard-work was not enough for Americans (both blue collar and white collar--oh and small business owners) to afford a home. Would that be around the 1990s or more like 2008? And while the increasingly global economy and the competition that came from that did not help, neither did the shift towards giving a huge piece of the pie to 1% (ok let's say 3%) of Americans. This period coincides roughly with the time people started to afford more crap (which eventually became crap from Amazon) but affording a condo or house got harder (that's right, you can't buy a house on Amazon).

Then after that the schools and what’s around the kids or influencing them. More can be done on all fronts. Very rarely both sides would agree on major issues in the entire history of the Nation, so no luck there but it can happen. Politicians having a sense of shame really doesn’t do anything positive nor helpful. When they had accountability and would take responsibility is what you should aim for. Many people even today can make a nice living for their families, it’s just that with every generation expectations get higher. Employers valuing their workers really is subjective as that has been ongoing and really depends on the people running the business. I can agree with a lot of what you said but there are rational ways to create solutions and what you’re asking for is a constant battle for making those issues better

America was great when it had a large middle class and that time was after WWII and FDRs new deal was put in place. It was a time when the middle class was the largest and had political power with unions but when Regan was elected the attack on the unions and the media started and wages stagnated for years. Reagan trickledown economics with neoliberalism shipped out the jobs and they started cutting taxes for the wealthy and deregulating industry and the banks. 2007 then destroyed the wealth in the middle class as people lost homes and they had to bail out the banks. Obama got the economy on track and the economy grew until Trump was elected. The economy was in a free fall until Biden was elected and now is doing as well as it was after the war. History of republican economics tells us they don't care about working people just the oligarchs and their bankers.
