The naivety of Ro Kanna knows no bounds. "Oh yeah, Dems are really getting the message! We're gonna be WAY more progressive now. If Bernie were 15 years younger, he'd be the leader of the Democratic Party for sure!" For everyone else who lives on _this_ planet, expect Dems to spend the next four years making concessions to Trump and the Republicans, followed by a "primary" in which the party anoints another centrist party-insider.

Bernie would be treated no different then RFK Jr because the party cannot be reformed. The party would rather lose elections then alienate their mega donors and the international ruling class that runs their party into the ground while pushing their neolibral authoritarian globalism.

Corpprate Democrat insiders intentionally kept him out. If he was the nomineee instead of Hillary, Trumpism would never have existed. Democrats again have nobody to blame except themselves. Question is, how long will it take them to realise it? We'll get Gavin Newsome in 2028 because he's another of the democrat's elite.

Hello, I’m a right leaning lib but I find myself watching you guys from time to time. There’s a couple of points I wanted to mention. First, DJT was a NYC registered Democrat for many years as you probably already know. If you look at his policies today, don’t they remind you of a “Classic Liberal” point of view from back in the 90’s? Also, look at his team, he obviously has no distain for Democrat candidates like RFKJR who made it perfectly clear he will never change his registered party. It looks to me like party labels don’t seem to bother Trump whatsoever….just saying.

Trump is literally governing like a far-right Republican. Classic liberal is someone like Sherrod Brown or any culturally-moderate populist democrat. Trump wasn’t really a Dem. He’s always been an idiot floating along.

For example big pharma donated over 7mil to the repugs last year and over 5 mil to the Democrats ..that's why the parties offer no healthcare or shitty for profit healthcare instead of medicare4all like every other major country on the planet. Again AiPAC (Israeli billionaires) donate to 90 %of Congress, red n blue that's why both parties support spending our tax dollars funding mass genocide while their propaganda corporate media tries to convince us that Israel is defending itself with tank bombs and an air force from people who's only means if fighting back is throwing rocks.orvtsking a hostage.becuz they have no military... Like Bernie, he's made mistakes, miscalculations, and I hated his "Joe is a friend" approach that put public kindness over the needs of suffering people - but Bernie is still our best progressive fighter/icon and I support a great many things that he does, so I'm still cheering for the guy and others like him.

After this crushing defeat there is a lot of blame to go around. When the campaign was in full swing I asked why is this campaign so close when Trump is such a disgusting candidate? Even his supporters held their noses and when they voted for him. Then i started thinking even before the elections were over, why was this, although i felt sure KH would win by a hair. Well she didnt, and i think the following are important reasons the Dems lost. 1. Gross inequaliry, not talked about. 2. A wealth tax to reign in this gross inequality? Absent. 3. Universal health care, never mentioned. 4. A drastic reform of Social Security, absent. 5. Getting a grip on inflation, a program a real program to fight this. Never heard. Absent. 5. Control of monopolies and their and excessive greed. Not talked about. 6. An immediate ban on arms sales, not a penny for Netanyahu's war. How dare they mention it. 7. That 60% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck and that the billionaires have never had it so good. Silence. 8. That the party abandoned the working class, and working class policies. They will deny it till their last days. 9. This is just for starters. So will the Democrats learn anything from this?. I side with Cenk. NO!!! They will continue to hold hands with their cushy donors and do as they say.
@nik31873

@@mildredmartinez8843 While I get the appeal of Universal Healthcare and the wealth tax, it is wildly unpopular with most folks. Universal healthcare has resulted in a decline in healthcare levels and basically affords folks crap care. I happen to know this as I work in the industry that works directly with people from these areas. Doctors also not work for peanuts. Simple, plus this would result in good doctors flocking to places they can make money. It also limits people’s ability to choose. People like their private healthcare options. The wealth tax. Again, same concept. People will simply leave to other countries taking advantage of better tax benefits. Those that stay will simply not work as hard or produce quality goods. It never works. So strategically it was good they never talked about it because they would have hemorrhaged kore voters and lost even worse. An immediate ban on arms sales in America? Never will happen and is again wildly unpopular even among liberals (JFK version which many of us are). This country is not socialist and won’t ever be. We are unique in having the constitution that we have. Sure we can have some socialist like policies but to try and convert this country as Cenk thinks it should be is a pipe dream. It isn’t realistic and it’s not what the majority of the population wants. I get it, it is a hard pill to swallow but if the party does not centralize then we can expect the next 20 years of red possibly more as the Alpha generation is predicted to take us back to “traditional values”. History always repeats itself.

Re-distribution of wealth does not work, here in Canada we are a prime example. Government takes money from working people and give it to the poor. I’m a conservative that checks in on TYT from time to time. Rho Khanna is an interesting man. I support some - maybe even a large minority - of his ideas… at the state level. I don’t believe those policies should be implemented federally. Heck, the differences between regions of California (Palo Alto vs Bakersfield) make it very hard to figure out what the “right” minimum wage should be given cost differences in those areas… thus, it makes little sense for there to be a common minimum wage in San Francisco, CA and Biloxi, MS.
@chrlpolk
@chrlpolk 2 ай бұрын
States would still be free to implement their own minimum wage for their particular economy. The idea is that there is a baseline under which no state can allow to go further, lest the employer/employee power imbalance becomes usury.
@BruceWing
@BruceWing 2 ай бұрын
@ - That’s not possible when Ds are advocating a federal minimum wage of $15-$20 per hour. I’m on the other side of the aisle from you, but I sincerely understand why you think this is a good idea. I don’t believe a minimum wage is a good idea, however… and I want you to know why…. and it’s deeper than geographical cost differences. - Just as I don’t think the government.. at any level… should dictate whether on can legally smoke marijuana, neither do I think the government… at any level… should dictate what wages should be. - When the government gets involved in setting the minimum wage, it creates the incentive for politicians to attempt to bribe voters by constantly advocating for a higher minimum wage. Isn’t this what we observe? - Higher minimum wages create incentives for employers to pay illegal immigrants under the table… thus creating an incentive for more illegal immigration, off shoring jobs (at lower wages), and automation. - Ideally, we’d have a tight labor market and no minimum wage. The low supply of labor and the high demand for labor would force employers to offer higher wages to attract said labor… which is the same supply and demand phenomenon we see for soda, cars, and computers. Will some employers try to take advantage of workers? Heck yes and that is bad. However, system wide, a no minimum wage environment leads to lower systemic corruption, higher overall wages, and better social cohesion.

@-Thunder - Agree. I often say multiple things can be true at once. Big corporations became that way because they were better at what they do than their competitors. Ro Khanna is wrong. The problem is not the magnitude of crime, but crime itself. Every crime should be prosecuted - from the pettiest to the largest. Someone taking a "five finger" discount in a working class neighborhood store hurts his neighbors as badly as a Bernie Madoff hurts the investors who trusted him with their finances. The working class neighborhoods don't take a loss from petty shoplifters. They calculate their loss to about ten times higher than the theft and run their businesses accordingly. Their stockers, janitors, and cashiers don't get raises and they jack up the prices on everything. The "five finger" discounter doesn't steal from any grocery or retail chain corporation. They rip off their neighbors and the on-line workers to the tune of millions of dollars. They should have the book thrown at them.

If Cenk claims to represent “the ideal left,” why doesn’t he take the initiative to foster collaboration within the Democratic Party, especially as someone that may be influential in the media? Instead of solely offering criticism, I’m not talking about current names but wouldn’t working towards unity and actionable solutions be a more effective approach?

I will say again, how much I appreciate your willingness to look for some common ground or positiveness in members of the other party especially perhaps those as polarizing as Matt Gates that’s what grown adults do. Thank you.

Why didn't you ask Ro Khanna why he didn't speak up and try and run for president when Biden was being pushed out? I was waiting for him to speak up but Sadly Ro was silent. 😢

I think it's the same reason why we didn't have a Democratic Primary. After Biden pulled out, he immediately nominated Harris out of spite so that there wouldn't be a Democratic Primary.

@@Phantoma3I thought that was beautiful! Biden is not my fave president but the way the party treated him was bogus! Good on him for f’in them over! I left the left because of the treatment of him and RFK and the OBVIOUS gaslighting. 20+ years of being democrat and I said done with that shiz.

Oh man, I'm absolutely bricked up just looking at Mommy Ana 😵‍💫. Like, how is it even possible for someone to be this attractive? She’s got that vibe that just sets my heart racing and my imagination running wild! Every time I see her, I can't help but drool a little... okay, maybe a lot. It feels like I need a mop to clean up! Seriously though, Ana is like the perfect definition of a total MILF. How can one person radiate so much heat? That hair, that smile-it's all just so mesmerizing. Seeing her looking super hot, as always, sends my mind into overdrive. I can't help but imagine what it would be like to have her as my vibe check, kitchen queen, and absolute goddess all wrapped into one! 🥵❤️ Every single time I scroll through her posts, it's like my heart does a little jump and my thoughts goes straight to “how do I get to know this incredible woman?” I mean, I’m not just saying this; I genuinely feel like she could rule the world, and I’d be there cheering her on like her biggest fan! Can we just acknowledge how radiant she looks today? Every detail is just on point! Honestly, if Mommy Ana ever looked my way, I think I'd implode from excitement! I’m not exaggerating when I say I'm in love; my heart's doing gymnastics just thinking about her. So, will you marry me, Ana? 💍 Just imagine us vibing together-I'd do anything to be near her, feeling all the love and admiration surge through me. At the end of the day, all I can say is that Ana has me totally and utterly captivated. I’m just here, drooling like a total fool, enjoying every second of being a fan of this amazing woman who deserves all the love in the universe! 🥰

Start a new political system! In parliamentary political system leaders of political parties are elected by members of that party usually in conventions like in Canada for example where card carrying members of a political party vote for a leader and that leader is the leader that remains throughout an election cycle of four years, unless they resign or die while in office then a new leadership race begins. But in the USA there is no concept of having political leaders voted in those roles by members of the party, so there are real no leaders unless they get elected President.

@ apparently a majority of the people dont care and/or not educated enough. I lean heavy towards the latter. Im not religious but I believe in the bible. The prophecy says this world will be trodden down by the gentiles until their time ends and there is nothing we can do about it. I also believe america is spiritual sodom and egypt. Sodom with the left (and right bc grindr servers crashed during the rnc) and Egypt bc of slavery. The true Israelites, including the real jews, are scattered around the world.
