I think what makes him so convincing is his height and stoic face and nose. A lot of models have slight widows peaks and asymmetrical faces and no one really cares. Unfortunately height and certain body types are a big winner in men's fashion even though they don't represent the majority of men haha. But he does 100% pull of the model look.

Perfection. I am so happy that you did this. This literally shows how disastrous our modern "fashion" world is. Wearing anything (literally anything) and being called a model. I think this is a great message to show the people on which level they are on these days. The only difference between bad and good is that someone is officially called model and the other isn’t.
@thevirtualtraveler Жыл бұрын
Only the ignorant or lazy would use that definition of good and bad. Abjectly, Good has two characteristics: 1. It is aesthetically pleasing, and 2. It is well made/crafted. Anything which can be demonstrated to have both of those qualities to the majority of people will stand the test of time as " Good". But it is important to be mindful of the fact that in our Post-Modern age, at least 30% (if not more) of what is presented as Fashion/Art is not meant to be Good, it is meant to be attention garnering.

Haute couture is actually an art form. The artist (designer) is merely expressing whatever emotions or vision they see, but instead on a canvas or film, it's on live canvas (models for example). There is a big misconception that celebrities and the rich like wearing these haute couture pieces but that's not the case. It's like going to an art gallery and experiencing the art it gives to the individual. Hope that makes sense! Sorry for my confusion

I study fashion business and this video is absolutely spot on. A lot of people in the industry are very shallow. If they think you can enhance their Instagram feed, they'll love you. People know the designer pieces look ridiculous but they don't want to say it because they're afraid of seeming like they're too stupid to get the art. Sometimes I regret studying it but I do think it's a fascinating world.
@abhijeetshrestha15025 жыл бұрын
I thought the stuff they put up in those catwalks was supposed to be ridiculous and everyone was in on it, so people actually think those are "art", as in there's science to make it look good? Also is that dahyun in your profile?
@haranobara5 жыл бұрын
@@abhijeetshrestha1502 Well yes and no. To be fair there are lots of avant garde designers who do create clothes with such attention to detail that they become a work of art. I can give you some names. But there's also a lot of weird wacky runway looks created just to generate some publicity, otherwise they will be forgotten. It's a marketing tactic to get people to see their more wearable clothes. Most of it really comes down to being confident in your image, that's why the "fake model" in the video blends in effortlessly.
