Everyone seems to love Brandt Clarke to LA, but I don't see it. Yes, you take the BPA, but with the 2-9 tier being this close I think the Kings go for almost any one of them over a RHD when they have Durzi, Faber, Spence, and Grans lined up.

Wallstedt is going to shine. He will be up with the big club no later than January of next year. Watch his highlights and read the scouting on him. They've compared him to Hellebuyck. He uses his size extremely well, hes fundamentally and positionally sound. It will be a great pick. I'm personally hoping for it. Especially with Petruzzeli leaving in Mid-August. We have no goalies in the system that could be there within 3 years.

He’s not taking a goalie. I promise you. If they only pick at 6 and 23, they won’t take a goalie at 6. If he makes a deal to get 8th or 9th without losing 6, then maybe. But you don’t use picks that high on a goalie when the veteran tandem in net last season that you found through free agency on a bargain did just fine. You can always find decent goaltending. You just have to hope they don’t disappear in the playoffs, sort of like price in the finals. He got them there, but couldn’t keep it up.

10-15 years from now, when we look back on this draft, I think we are going to see the talent came from all over the place (round wise). Due to the circumstances of this season and picks are being based primarily on their 17 year old season. As a Rangers fan, if they don't trade the pick outright, would love to see them trade down multiple times ala Calgary last year. As far as Ottawa goes, Gustavsson played SO well at the end of the season and he's still so young. I can't imagine Ottawa would spend an early pick on Cossa, when Gustavsson is likely all ready being groomed as the GK of the future there. I think Detroit NEEDs to take Wallstadt in this lackluster draft. He's the best talent and the most elite player in this draft. If there is any year to take a GK early this is it. Kent Johnson is absolutely a WINGER in the NHL. He'd be a great winger for the Nucks or really most teams that need one. But he shouldn't be drafted thinking hes likely going to be an NHL center IMO. Brandt Clarke has amazing offensive potential for a Dman, but there are concerns as far as his defensive play. For that reason a lone he would be my 4th D off the board. And I would even consider Lambos ahead of him or Ceulemans around where he will be picked, two defenders who I think are highly underrated. Clarke has a higher offensive potential, but I think what he lacks in defensive play, Lambos and Ceulemans make up for, and both with more than adequate offensive ability. But at this rate, Lambos and Ceulemans could be two huge steals in this draft.
@ryanwasiak70503 жыл бұрын
I can see this board being pretty actuate but I think the hawks take a forward like Lysell or Lucius before Cossa. Our goalie pipeline is pretty good at the moment. Lankinen had a good year with a .909 but got over worked in his first season in the NHL, we just signed Arvid Soderblom this summer who will be 22 at the start of the season but he just put up a .922 in 22 games in the SHL, and we drafted Commesso in last years draft in the 2nd round and he put up a .915 in 11 games. I like Cossa a lot but I see them going forward and hopefully it’s Lysell.

William Eklund should be in consideration starting at #2, he had the most impressive season of all the prospects. Teams should be higher on Brandt Clarke because he is one of the only good RHD and he played very well in the Czech men’s league. Count in Mason McTavish on that list of players who need more star consideration. He reminds me of former Capitals draftee Connor McMicheal; both are centers with great goal scoring touch.
