Discussing Thiago is sort of pointless unfortunately: he's a marvelous MF but you simply cannot trust to pay such large prices for his talents knowing upfront he isn't going to be fit for half his contract. Douglas Costa is another example: superb winger, but... Marco Reus... All of them are great for us to watch now and then when they're available, but for club executives and head coaches it is insane to bet big on players like that. And even for pundits to rank him at the top level of the game is difficult since he doesn't have the numbers to back up his talent, again because he's not fit half the time.
