if those are still factory M size tires then the ideal tire size for you to run Xdrive safely is a 245/40 up front and you can keep the 275/35 in the rear

Hey a quick question. Would 437m with factory tyre size which comes with m3/4 255/35/19 front and 275/35/19 rear fit as it is on f36 440i (not x drive) or will I have to go smaller on the tyres? I read 235/40/19 and 266/35/19 is better ?Let me know please thanks

Hey Jon the Wheels for xDrive the widths, for the most part, dont matter. Enter the tire Sizes on a calculator online and it'll tell you the overall diameter difference. You need to be less than 2% I believe I could be wrong on that part though it could be 1% or less difference.

So im running staggered on my 335i xdrive and my wheel diameter currently is -0.4 im running 265/30/19 and 225/35/19 i messed up on my tires sizes but waiting for the new set to come in. Is -0.4% bad on my xdrive ?

@@f30jon44 To be honest I'm not sure, I don't think so because xdrive is designed to steer when it notices that the grip is decreasing.It's programmed that way, so I think it can also be programmed 'off'.🤔 Don't hate me if i'm wrong😅 i only know for sure the 1% staggered wheels

I believe OEM is about 1%. But that rolling diameter is affected by the width, for example a 245/40R18 will have slightly different height than 225/40R18 because the 40 aspect ratio leads to different dimensions with the different widths. Those two examples will have a circumference about 2.4% different despite having the same width.

Hey bro, as far as I know, you have to run rear wheel drive only if you have different rims dimension like for example 18" in the front and 19" in the rear, the channel width does not effect the xdrive.....

You can run staggered wheels( wider in the back ) with x drive as long as your rotational diameter is Within 1% don’t matter how wide I run staggered wheels, 8.5 up front 9.5 rear, 225/40/19 up front and 255/35/19 rears that’s what I do with x drive never had problems since it’s within 1% So you might need to change tire size to get it within 1% if you want to run the wheels with x drive if they aren’t already

437m is the best OEM style for the Fseries. Looks great! In my research you have to be within 1% when it comes to wheel circumference, so it’s all about the tire setup. Being up north I need the xdrive in the winter and it’s not worth trashing the xdrive running staggered, but plenty people seem to pull it off. Good luck man!

You can run staggered setups on xdrive cars as long as the actual diameter of the tire is the same (or at least within 1%) but you could totally put 10s in the back and 8s up front or something like that as long as you did the math to make sure that the tires you buy have the same rolling diameter. I did a 18x9.5 square setup in my 328 xdrive and I love hour it looks but I also did that because I wanted to have some ability to rotate wheels around the car with directional wheels and tires. So now I can rotate front to back. Still can’t do side to side though.

From my understanding, staggered is referring to the rolling diameter like someone earlier mentioned. Width shouldn't play a factor

Best OEM wheels are the 403M's in my opinion. I have them in 19" with the OEM M-Sport brake set with the blue calipers. Absolutely stunning combo! Oh and please fix the headrests in the back man, it's all about the details. Fold 'em down! 😉

F30 looks great man. I am so pleased to see you use XPEL Black PPF. I am having my entire car PPF wrapped and I wasn't sure whether to go clear for the roof, A, B and C pillars or black STEK PPF. Black is definitely the way to go. Are you going to get CS style carbon fiber mirror caps to match that antenna cover? I think that would look sick. Car looks great, my man! Always clean as fuck. I have a 22’ M550 Xdrive and it came staggered stock. 245/35/20 in the front and 275/30/20 in the rear. I believe BMW usually uses a staggered setup on a lot of its sport sedans with Xdrive because their AWD system is rear wheel biased. As long as your rolling diameter is the same, you should be good to go.

Also you just have to make sure the rolling diameter between the front and rears are within under 1% difference and you can run staggered on xDrive. So pretty much 40 side profile in the front and 35 side profile in the back. I’m not sure exactly which size tire combos fit best without rubbing though
