Yep. The speed with most McDonalds food (except the quarter pounder, which is fresh and unfrozen) is down to the fried food mostly being "par-cooked". It just has to be fried a short time in store to be fully cooked and edible. Also, we have enclosed heating trays for busy times so not everything has to be dropped and waited on.

Lol, hearing you question how fast food is made made me laugh. I was a McDonald’s Manager and you make it, put it in a heating container which keeps the food ‘warm’ so you can access it quicker and make the food quicker. They all have timers you are suppose to follow so you don’t serve old food. You only microwave hot cakes, breakfast burritos and the old cinnamon buns.

Guys just so you know, they cook the food on grills and in fryers. The fish is cooked in a fryer. Then the cooked items are kept in these heated drawer type things to keep them warm. They can only be kept in there for a certain amount of time before they are discarded. Mcdonalds has 100% beef (so they say) The chicken varies based on what u are getting. McChicken is the worst in quality for chicken. Hope this info is useful xD I unfortunately worked at McDONALds when I was a teen. Great vid btw :) P.s. Lucas you asked for a grilled chicken sandwich as a meal, med size. It's not the healthy version of grilled chicken, that's just how they make a grilled chicken sand. now. ;)

I am currently watching on my TV, and came to the video using my phone, just because I needed to tell you that no it's not a microwave, lol. They do cook a certain amount of hot product using the grill or fryer, then put it into a staging warmer. There are food safe timers for each holding unit, and the product is discarded if it's not used by times up. Accompanying this is a well prepped assembly station where the crew begins making the sandwich the second you place the order and the listener presses the button.
