🤯The drawstring is a brilliant idea to ➡️reduce⬅️ some of the blazer's boxy bulk ⬜️ in the back. 😍Love that it's easily reversible too...for those times you'd rather have the more traditional look. 🎉Bonus: this creative detail is beautifully slimming & elongating. It cleverly draws the 👁👁focus right up ⬆️ to her waistline. That lengthens ↕️ the impression of her legs. Yay🎉! 😊Two years into maintenance after having lost a considerable amount of weight. Have a half dozen high quality beautiful blazers that I adore🥰, but are now much more relaxed fit. 🧵Tailoring is too 💸expensive for my current budget, so I had been using those old-fashioned bejeweled sweater clips w/chains from the 1950s. (The original intent allows the person to wear a cardigan draped over the shoulder as a cape.) These clips hold the blazer in the back a similar flattering way as the drawstring, & they don't harm the fabric. 🤔Only a beginner 🪡sewist, but creating a channel in the interior of the garment for the drawstring would frankly be one of the easier things to do. 😉I'll practice on a throwaway item first.
