During the days of the Rogue Trader edition of 40k the limited capability of GW to make vehicle kits meant that even official vehicles had to be scratch built. Having known a couple of bouncers over the years, one of the reasons they will intervene in an arguing couple is just in case they're not a "serious couple" and the girl is "open to expressing gratitude". But in the 90s, bouncers weren't hired for their high moral standards!! 😄 And, to be completely fair about it, the "ladette" culture of the time had enough women happy to oblige to make it a worthwhile tactic for them. None of the guys I spoke to would have ever forced the issue, but they were all happy to accept a "slurpy thankyou"

My gf refers to the local FLGS as 'the geek shop' and when I go there with her she patiently listens to autistic teenagers explaining about Necrons to her while I'm buying paints. She's quite amused by the reaction she gets but I can see how it would make some women uncomfortable.

I might be in the minority here, the exception that proves the rule, if you will, because I can absolutely read people. I always know if I'm going to like someone the first time I see them. Your body language speaks louder to me than your mouth words ever will. Probably a coping mechanism from my childhood if I had to bet. You'd be surprised how predictable people are based on their body language.

see I I've been going to the Cardiff store with my gf for like 2 or 3 years and there's always just as many women or just a few less and nobody bats an eye and we stopped in the one in Staines in England and there was still the odd woman or 2 for the hour or so we where in there is this just an American thing or am I just somehow going to the few Warhammer stores women frequent
