I was watching his pre-game analysis on KDB and he mentioned that he can get frustrated on occasion when things don't work out the way he sees them. During the game, Madrid beat their press a few times, but this one time they did and I could see Kevin on the edge of the screen raising his hands in frustration. Next thing you know the ball gets to Karim in a very dangerous area of the box. You usually associate that kind of vision with managers who are on the sideline. Kevin has it on the pitch. Thierry is absolutely spot on with his analysis. I think CBS are lucky to have him tbh.

When Theirry Henry was presented with Premeir league's Footballer of the Year award, being introduced as a player whose helped made the PL what it is, on the MIC he said the PL had made him. It's so good when Top-Top footballers don't just retire and disappear from the game, but are managers and are voicing their opinions on our screens. What a signing he was for us/PL, he's as elegant and classy on the TV as he was on the green grass.

That just comes from people who rate players they like way above. His best game, for me, was vs Tottenham in the QF in 2019 and they won 4-3 which was not enough. Sometimes he is all alone making things happen and someone just messes it up, whether it is Pep or that City defense.

Firstly, no he does not show up in big games. The games you’ve mentioned are outliers, maybe 1 in 10 big games he’ll show up. Against Madrid yesterday he did not show up, he’s fortunate to have gotten the goal. Second, he absolutely did not carry Man City to a UCL Final. If it wasn’t for city’s defence that year they wouldn’t get through PSG. And prior to his injury in the final he didn’t do anything. Thirdly, for Belgium he also has a record of never showing up. And people want to talk about Lukaku missing the chances when KDB didn’t create any for him to score.

@@MrSoccerPlayer7 how can he be fortunate to have scored a goal? He had already forced Courtois to make saves and Man City in the second half were in danger and he saved them. From 2020 alone in the knockouts, he was City's best in the tie vs Madrid, the game vs Lyon, in 2021, he performed great vs Dortmund and PSG, In 2022, he was great in knockouts again and was City's best player as he decided the game vs Atleti and was excellent vs Real, again. Not to mention the numerous games he has decided in the Prem title race over the years vs Chelsea, United, Arsenal and Liverpool.

I've said this before, but people still don't quite get why him and Haaland are so scary together- people even keep spouting nonsense about how Haaland only scores so many because De Bruyne is so good with the assists. The fact is, Henry is absolutely right, De Bruyne sees things on a pitch that almost nobody else can see- and Haaland does the same thing. That's why Haaland gets so many tap-ins, or finds himself unmarked so often; hes a genius at reading the pitch, he can be stood in the box and realise that if he moves 6 inches to the left, he'll be more likely to score because of the positions of the other players. So having 2 players who both have that gift- one of them a world class passer and one of them a world class finisher- is why they're so effective, sometimes it's like those two are playing a completely different game to everyone else.

He plays as if he's watching it from birds eye view, he's got absolutely everything meaning vision, passing, scoring, stats, dribbles and he knows when to do it and nearly every game he gets man of the match 🔥 the problem that Messi has is that he's been doing it for so long that it's normal to everyone now but when someone like De Bruyne does half of what he does it's all headlines.. Internationally you can't talk about De Bruyne being the most clever because Messi just outshined him with his magic and intricate passage of play at the highest level of the game... They probably won’t even be able to explain how they do what they do sometimes, cuz their instinctual creativity is so Godlike. @@hafizzx96 you clearly watched this video with one braincell remaining. De bruyne is not even better than Xavi and iniesta . And did you skim over the fact that even Henry said is impossible to be Messi ,it's impossible to be Xavi and iniesta but it's possible for kids to aspire to be like De bruyne .

@@justwesleystop comparing kdb/haaland combo with messi/mbappe combo. Kdb and haaland are playing at the highest level and dominating UCL, messi/mbappe are struggling in a finished farmers league. KDB miles clear of messi this season

Seeing this vid again after several months and after the return of KDB in the match MCI against Newcastle ( januari 2024) , it is easy to understand that explanation of Th.Henri. How the game really changed when KDB stepped into the field , as a truly stage-commander and delivering it.

When the MSM made an announcement recently that King Kev was almost back from injury there was rumoured to be a collective groan from rivals dressing rooms. They knew. They knew what that meant for them. When he limbered up on the touchline against Huddersfield the City faithful almost lifted the stadium roof off with their response. I've been blessed to see some incredible players do incredible things at City. Kev is easily up there with them.

KDB is an impactful player and he is so important for City and Belgium!! He deserves to compared to the likes of Kaka, Zidane, Ronaldinho, Baggio, and among other CM/CAM!! He is simply sensational in reading the game of football!!

Let's make this simple; There are players who won't have ridiculous numbers of assists and goals but they make the entire team play well and effectively. Kevin De Bruyne makes a team attack with a simple visual scan of the pitch.

Agree absolutely. KDB is playing like a God this season, and we are only now seeing his real talent and potential. Most people say Haaland is the best, for me KDB is the reason Haaland has scored 75% of the goals he has.

I think the point he was trying to make about Xavi and Iniesta is that they didnt have the goals or assists but they were still the most valuable players. KDB is the most valuable player in the same way as Xavi and Iniesta were, but he ALSO has the goals and assists season in, season out. Once in a lifetime player

The only sentence tickling me here is when he says "you can be Kevin, you cannot be Messi, Ronaldinho, etc" I strongly disagree, you can't be as good as Kevin, you can't be as precise, as sharp, as "eagle eye", you can't, he's too good, to me he's even better than Messi and all the others when we talk only about this sector of the game. This guy is exceptionnal.
