Twisting Nether was both a bait and also set up for lethal as Thijs couldn't get the lifesteal. He also made this play on the turn he drew Doomguard (with Eater of Secrets already in hand). GGWP

It felt kinda suspicious when that Twisting Nether came, lol. Then I thought like "hey, artificer + poly + hero power for a bit of sustain there could be good, right?", but maybe it wasn't enough anyway (for several reasons) and Thijs could've still died... so I understand that that Alanna setup for lethal was possibly the best play for that turn

Why did he play the doomsayer when he had a 7/7 and the opponent had a 3/2, I get that he wanted to kill the 6/6 but if the opponent couldn't kill his 7/7, Thijs won.

Eragonnogare I would say that William Brooks is right in a sense. Bloodreaver Gul'dan is THE most played legendary card in the current meta. It was most likely also a preventative measure, if his opponent had Gul'dan, there was really no way he could recover the board control.

Eragonnogare In a control matchup we have to consider the fact that the opponent have removals. In this case he can have twisting nether or siphon

I understand, but if they don't have won, he wins, if they do, then they spend their mana on that, and then he can use the doomsayer in response, as a removal (of sorts), the risk wasn't high, and the payoff was victory.

Eragonnogare its actually hard to say. The best case for the warlock is the warlock plays guldan and thijs can never catchup with the board. but he can still have siphon or nether and spawn a 6/6 next turn which can kill the doomsayer if thijs response with. So not playing the doomsayer is a huge risk that should not be taken when you have 2 powerful late game cards in hand
