First time hearing a thin man story! Is he some rich guy pursuing solving crimes? He used three $10 bills for information from that dude in jail….not chunk change! And it was on his dime….wasn’t acting as a private eye working with an expense account! But I really enjoyed that couple’s adventures!

In the book, movies, and presumably radio shows (although there doesn't exist a definitive origin episode in circulation), Nick Charles is a middle aged private detective who marries a wealthy younger woman (Nora) and they are rich, so even though he's an experienced investigator, he doesn't need the money.
