Hello Kayla, so glad to see you doing so well and hanging in there with all that work and those children. They are getting big. You're right, it's great to watch them grow, but then again, you loose your baby. My baby just turned 50 last month. He is such a sweet guy! I'm so lucky to have him in my life. It's so nice to feel blssed with what God or for me, the Universe gives us, and it's important to realize that the blessings that we get are counted because other people must to get their blessings too. It's good to hear that you are setting boundaries and learning to say "no" --in a nice way of course. That is a rough lesson to learn for all of us. Look how much your daughter loves you. It's so beautiful. Blessings your way Kayla.

I have a tip! I keep the nugget and little trampoline upstairs so they can get energy out without making too much of a mess behind me.

Your son is so adorable. He was cracking me up ringing that fire station bell and climbing over the other 2 kids.

@KaylaBuell I live in a two story house as well and agree its challenging to get things done on the second floor (I have 2 toddlers). Couple things I do is keep minimal toys/extras in their rooms. I keep most of their daytime clothes in an ottoman on the first floor. That way we aren’t going up and down to change clothes throughout the day and its easier putting laundry away since our laundry room is on the 1st floor!

I've been married for 19 years come July. I can't recall a single time that me and my husband have ever gotten so mad that we either can't sleep or resolve it by morning. We usually hash it out in the moment. Allow some space to cool off, then come to the other person to speak rationally. We're very much similar in how we view arguments and fighting and will always seek the rational, logical resolution. There was only one time that I have had to raise my voice at him and it was while I was pregnant, and after he admitted to me that I was in the right and apologized. Literally resolved within 10 minutes. Now that I'm going through perimenopause, I do find that I'm a lot grumpier than I used to be and can be snappy. He's aware of this and tries to stay calm, knowing I can't always control it, but that I'm trying. While I've never been to therapy, I've had to force myself to be honest with myself and my emotions, and no matter how silly it feels, I will always approach him with honesty. I've been learning to use words that therapists will have their clients use: "I'm sorry for yelling (Or my behavior). I'm upset because..... and this made me feel..." Really helps and we're able to get right to the point without having a huge blow up.

Would you happen to know how many lunch and dinners you chose? How about how many snacks, sweets, and breakfasts? Trying to decide how many of each to choose.

Make sure Riley pesters her dad about her laundry, too! Don't want her growing up thinking it's solely a woman's job ❤

Oh also, I live in Houston which is so incredibly hot and we usually get out early in the morning for some outdoor time, I plan to visit every museum in town and have lots of play dates inside! The heat is unbearable!

I definitely need time to process and also if I’m so tired and sleepy and we’re arguing at night, I am unproductive so I need rest. And most of the time, when I wake up the next day, the issue isn’t the big deal I made it out to be the night before and I’m able to calmly discuss.

so true! and arguing at night when you’re tired is probably just not a good idea!

How can people be so rude and don’t feel bad afterwards… When I don’t say thank you or don’t smile back I’ll think about it for 3 months straight and have flashbacks.

I can relate I have a beautiful house but 2 stories makes it difficult for me to clean the house in one go. Plus i have closed kitchen so its even worse. I call maid atleast once a week to get things done.
