Just stopped watching Asmongold some of it is because I went from being a student to working full time, but before it was transmog competitions the memes about the BFA postbox mounts sword farming etc. easy watchable memed content with gambas on stream. Now its just react andy for 8 hours over some irrelevant video from a youtuber who needs to create 2x drama videos everyday on youtube to make the most dollars out of gullible angry boys who needs to touch grass.

It can be a powerful thing when you have thousands agreeing with whatever you say. Sort of when king has an entourage that tells him what he wants to hear so he never learns when he is veering off course with wrong perceptions. Some do speak up but you always risk a sudden confrontation with the streamer who can single you out and then use his having the only voice to run over anyone who doesn't agree and then ban them so they can't defend their statements. I think most of us know this and just laugh off Asmon's statements at times and then there is the need for that drama used to entertain people who will then clip it and react to it. Twitch/youtube are this round robin of drama content.

For the most part, it did happen though. The second he broke the WoW streak and became more of a variety/react streamer, his attitude changed a bit, as you can see in the D4 vid. Before, he'd forth at the mouth, and go right back to playing it. Now, he actively questions why he should keep playing it if he's not enjoying it because he just goes and does something else on his stream. I wonder if most of the stress he feels from the Asmongold main channel on twitch and why he can't stream on it without being stressed out is because of it being synonymous with WoW for so many years, or if he just sees so much more "When are you going back to *insert old game here* Baldie?!" more on it.

the problem is asmon's obsession with being RIGHT. He has opinion about absolutely everthing and he is convinced that his opinion is the only right. Thats pretty much why he turned his channel into react channel and if you dare to say that asmon is wrong, you get perfect recipe for drama.
