If you’re enjoying the content, don’t forget to *hit the like button* on my video ❤. Just a bit more and the interior will be fully empty. Suspension or engine tear down is next :).. or perhaps the '68 Camaro as it needs some attention lol

You're doing well, you're better cutting out the rust and welding in plates or floor panels otherwise the rust can come back, this is what my dad and I did with his mk1 Ford Capri in UK.

One of my most fondest memories in life was a full frame-off restoration of an old Chevelle with my kids. Lots of ziplock bags, coffee cans and small boxes kept everything in order. It may seem tedious and time consuming sorting and labeling at first but in the long run you’ll save a lot of time and frustration on your restoration. Good luck!

I see your car has the park brake reminder light, that means it's optioned with the visibility group which also includes a lighted ignition switch, glove box light inside and map light underneath, ash tray light, trunk lid light and LH remote mirror. You should get body color sport mirrors like Mach 1's had, they look much better than the blocky chrome mirrors

Have to admit..your doing a fantastic job with the tear down of your Mustang..as someone commented before..ziplock bags and label your screws will be helpful to you when it's time to putting the vehicle back together..as for the rust repair..you or someone cut out a small section that is need of patch panel/s..the rest of the rusty area you can use Phor 15 in those areas..brush on right over the rust to stop it from spreading..and paint over the whole floors afterwards..best method for the sticky area..I would use a heat gun and scrapper..again good job and nice content..love you videos..take care and God bless.

Trying the best but it's all a learning process. The bags I will do as that is a good way to keep track. The cutting I can do, but not welding. So I will look for a mobile welder that can assist with that. Once that is done I can remove all that stick crappy stuff from the floors and paint :). Thanks for the tips and for watching my videos.

Wire wheel on a grinder will remove all of the debris but be careful they're ballistic and for tighter areas a die grinder w a wire wheel or brush in tighter areas that'll help alot without using a crazy amount of nauseous chemicals. Always wear sleeves and proper safety equipment. But I do alot of Metal repair work you'll end up using rust neutralizers but try to keep the chemicals to a minimum cause of long term effects. Good luck ,be careful and have fun .

Great video, Doris. It looks like you need to get a floor pan for the Mustang. Then, you can cut and section the rusted-out pieces in. Actually, it might just be easier to replace the entire floor pan. That would solve the problem of all the adhesives and other crap on the floor pan. You may also need a new dash pad. I'm certain they are available from Mustang suppliers. It's a huge job, to put this car back together, but I'm confident that you can handle it. Plus, it will make for numerous You Tube videos. Keep up the great work.

I rebuilt a 67 Mustang, and that was a lot of work, but simple to an extent, i recommend using a smaller electric screw driver with extensions, a heavy-duty degreaser that you can get in any auto parts store for the engine bay and interior with a wire wheel and brushes

If you're planning on removing the interior paint then you can use some brake cleaner to clean up all that gunk and grime. It will strip the paint eventually but if you're going to repaint it anyway then no problem. You might want to look into a magnetic tray as well for those bolts and screws. You will probably want to replace all the bolts/screws anyway they're probably rusty but keep them together and write down where they came from so you know what to replace where. Drawing yourself a mud map of the dash then labeling the area with what screw/bolt was used will help if you're doin this project over a longer time period because you'll forget what your notes are eventually "is mid left the middle of the left or the left of the middle?"

Doris you said the Mustang has 301952. miles. If I am not mistaken the older cars only do 5 numbers and the last is the 10th of a mile. 30,195. 2 But we know it is not 30,000 so probably 130,000.❤

Wire wheel on a drill or grinder. Get a bunch of the wire wheels as you are going to go through them pretty quickly with that much stripping. Make sure you have eye pro and long sleeves. You may even want some gloves as the brush will shoot out splinters at times. Good luck. It's going to be time consuming.

@@cherry_colors Explain dry ice? Dry ice is great at removing lots of dirt, grime, grease and glue. It freezes the substance and makes it easier to remove. It's hard to do the underbody of a car because you can't flip it on it's roof but there is a device called a dry ice blaster that can shoot at it but the machine's very expensive. The dry ice method works well with the interior though. Especially with that glue residue that was holding the carpet down.
